Minister of Foreign Affairs



of 21 June 1999. September 1965



on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist

Republic and the Republic of Tunisia



January 6. April 1963 in Tunis was signed the agreement on cultural cooperation

between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Tunisia.



The agreement on the basis of its article 11, entered into force on 5. July

1964.



English translation of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT



on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the

The Republic of Tunisia



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Tunisian Republic

guided by efforts to develop on the basis of mutual understanding, respect for

their sovereignty and non-interference policy cooperation in the field of culture,

education, art and sport, and thus contribute to strengthening the friendly volumes

between their peoples,



have decided to conclude this agreement and to this end have designated as their

agents:



the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic p. Francis place of death,

Minister of education and culture;



the Government of the Tunisian Republic p. Chedli Klibiho, State Secretary

Cultural Affairs and information.



Article 1



Both sides will promote the cultural and artistic ties between the two

countries.



In addition, both parties agree to exchange their knowledge and

experience in the field of education and scientific research.



Article 2



Both sides will promote cooperation in cultural, artistic,

Scientific and educational organizations and institutions and visits

professors, writers, scholars and artists.



Article 3



Each Party shall encourage nationals of the other party in your studies or

Internships by providing scholarships and aid.



Article 4



Both parties shall facilitate the exchange of art exhibitions, theatre,

music or folk groups, sports delegations and will be

support the organisation of sports competitions between the two countries.



Article 5



The two parties will promote cooperation in the field of printing,

radio and television.



Article 6



Both parties shall facilitate the exchange of books, scientific, cultural and artistic

publications, films and tv movies and will support the implementation of the

film co-productions.



Article 7



Both parties shall facilitate the publication of important scientific, cultural and

works of nationals of the other Contracting Party.



Article 8



Each of the parties undertakes to guarantee the copyrights in their country

nationals of the other party in accordance with international conventions to which the parties

signed up.



Article 9



Both parties will ensure that the cultural, historical and geographical

textbooks, used in each of the two countries, gave as accurately as possible

the idea of the country of the other party.



Article 10



In the implementation of this Agreement shall be drawn up each year, the cultural program

cooperation, which shall specify the filling of cultural events.



Article 11



This agreement shall enter into force upon the exchange of instruments of ratification and will

valid for a period of 2 years. After the expiration of this period, the validity of the

automatically extended each time for another year, if not in writing

unless terminated three months before it expires.
