on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist

the Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kenya



On 2 February 2005. October 1986 was in Nairobi signed the agreement on cultural cooperation

between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Kenya

of the Republic. The agreement entered into force on signature.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement



on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist

the Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kenya



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kenya,



Desiring to develop relations and cooperation in the field of culture, science,

education and health care,



convinced that this cooperation will contribute to the deepening of friendly

relations between the two States,



have decided to conclude this agreement and to this end have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of culture, the arts,

Science, education, mass media, film, health care

and sport.



Article 2



the Contracting Parties shall facilitate his studies of history,

the culture and geography of the second State on their schools, as well as the study of the

these disciplines in research institutions. Will be to ensure that in the textbooks and

school curricula were distributed objective information about art, culture,

literature, language, history and geography of the second State.



Article 3



The Contracting Parties shall, in accordance with their capabilities to provide scholarships

students and postgraduantům to study at its universities and

other educational establishments.



Article 4



The Contracting Parties shall examine the question of mutual recognition of the equivalence of

qualifications, diplomas and academic rank awarded by

national law of the other State. They see where this is considered necessary,

agree about this special deal.



Article 5



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate within the framework of rules in force in their

States to the citizens of the other State carrying out their tasks under

of this agreement.



Citizens of the State broadcaster, the Contracting Parties are required to comply with

the national legislation of the receiving party.



Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall, for the purposes of execution of this agreement to negotiate is always on

a period of cooperation programmes, which will include the agreed

action, as well as financial terms.



Article 7



This agreement is subject to approval by the national laws of the States of both

the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of written notification of that

the approval of both parties.



Article 8



This agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years, and then will automatically

extended each time for another 5 years, unless one of the Contracting Parties

notice in writing at least 6 months before the expiry of the current period

Done at Nairobi on 2 February 2005. October 1986 in two original copies, each

in Czech and English languages, both texts being equally authentic.
