on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government
The French Republic on scientific and technical cooperation
29 April. June 1965 in Prague was the agreement signed between the Government of
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French Republic
Scientific and technical cooperation.
The mutual exchange of notes concerning the approval, on the basis of their Agreement entered
Article 9 into force on 14 July. January 1966.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French
Republic on scientific and technical cooperation
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French
of the Republic,
Desiring to facilitate and develop cooperation between Czechoslovakia and
France on the field of science and technology,
convinced that this cooperation will contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations
and exchanges between the two States,
have decided to conclude this agreement:
Article 1
Both Contracting Parties undertake to develop and strengthen the scientific
and technical cooperation. By mutual agreement shall define the individual areas
This cooperation, taking into account the experience gained by scientists and technicians
both the States and on the possibility of offering in each of the areas.
Article 2
Scientific and technical cooperation referred to in article 1 shall be carried out:

Sciences, studying engineering, engineers and technicians of both States;
(b)) by organizing trips of specialists and technicians;
(c)) the exchange of scientific and technical documentation;
(d)) by organizing scientific and technical lectures, conferences and
colloquia.
Article 3
The Contracting Parties take note of the Agreement between the Czechoslovak
the Academy of Sciences and the national centre of scientific research closed 21.
in May 1964, and will support both institutions when the continuation and
the expansion of their relations in the field of scientific research.
Article 4
The Contracting Parties shall promote the establishment and development of centres for
Scientific and technical documentation of other countries on its territory and for the
purpose shall take appropriate measures.
Article 5
Each of the Contracting Parties shall facilitate the further expansion of scientific and
technical books and publications of the other country, and that's how the commercial way
in the form of exchanges and donations.
Article 6
Each Contracting Party shall in its territory persons who posted the second

Article 7
1. The two parties creates a Czechoslovakia-French Standing Committee,
that will ensure the implementation of this agreement.
2. To ensure close coordination in the area of cultural, scientific and

Article 8
Czech and French Chairman of the Standing Committee shall be taken by the Exchange

Article 9
Each Contracting Party shall notify the other party in writing of the approval
Agreement in accordance with their respective constitutional rules. The agreement shall enter in the
validity from the date of the last written notification of these.
Article 10
This agreement is concluded for five years and may be tacitly extended.
Each Contracting Party may denounce it with six months ' notice
the timelimit.
Done at Prague on 29. June 1965 in two copies, each in the language
the Czech and French languages, both texts being equally authentic.
