The Convention between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government
Socialist Republic of Romania on the reciprocal establishment of houses of culture,
signed in Prague on 26 April. March 1971. Agreement entered into force
on the day of exchange of notes.
The texts of both the notes shall be published at the same time.
This is supplemented with the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs No. 84/1971 Sb.

Notes from the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic
It expresses respect for the Embassy of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in
Bucharest and based on empowering the Government of the Socialist
the Republic has the honor to propose an amendment to the Convention between the Government of the
Socialist Republic and the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
on the mutual establishment of houses of culture of 26 April. March 1971 as follows:
1. Omit from paragraph 1 of article 2 of the Convention, the words "and the sale of cultural
goods ".
2. Deletions from the provisions of paragraph 3 of article 8 of the Convention, worded as follows: "the sales
the activities of the home culture of the receiving State shall be subject to the legislation and
its authorities have the right to control her. ".
3. Deletions from the article 9, point (c) of the Convention), worded as follows: "the activities of the sales
cultural goods. ".
4. Omit from article 14 of the Convention, the words "or business".

proposes that this note verbale together with the Embassy of the Czechoslovak

confirms the agreement of both parties about the fact that through the Organization
foreign trade will be outside the framework of the activities of the cultural home
to promote the sale of cultural goods of the other State.

this opportunity to once again reassure the Czechoslovak Embassy

The Embassy of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic expresses the respect

The Embassy of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic confirms the agreement
both parties about the fact that through the Organization of foreign trade
will be outside the framework of the activities of the cultural home to support the sale of cultural
the goods of the other State.
The Embassy of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic uses this
