the Convention relating to the status, privileges and immunities of international

economic organisations operating in certain areas of cooperation



On 5 July 2004. December 1980 was in Budapest, Hungary signed the Convention relating to

the status, privileges and immunities of international economic organizations

operating in certain areas of cooperation.



With the Convention have expressed their approval of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak

the President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Socialist

the Republic has ratified it. The ratification instrument was deposited in the

Secretariat of the Council for mutual economic assistance, the depositary of the Convention, on

September 1, 1983.



Convention entered into force, pursuant to article XX, paragraph 1. 1 day 17.

paragraph 2 of the same article. 2 day 30. October 1983.

Convention



on the legal status, privileges and immunities of the international economic

organisations operating in certain areas of cooperation



States parties to this Convention



Desiring to facilitate the development of inter-State economic activities

organisations working in specific areas of cooperation and thus contribute to the

the strengthening of friendly relations between the Member States of these organizations,



They agreed to the following:



(I).



Introduction



Article. (I)



Used expressions



In this Convention:



and "international economic organizations) operating in certain areas

cooperation (hereinafter referred to as "the Organization") means an international organisation,

whose members are States, created on the basis of an international treaty for the

coordination of the activities of its members in the cooperation and cooperation in certain

areas of the economy, science and technology;



(b)) "host State" means a State in whose territory the Organization has its head office,

Organization



Article. (III)



Internationally legal personality of the Organization

the same favourable conditions as regards precedence, the tariffs and fees in

Privileges and immunities

2. The provisions of points e) and (f)) of paragraph 1 of this article shall apply to the

4. The provisions of paragraphs 1 and 3 of this article shall not apply in the relations

between the authorities of the State and representatives of that State.



Article. (XII)



Waiver of immunity



The privileges and immunities set out in article XI of this Convention shall be granted to persons

referred to in that article, solely in the interests of performance features. Each State

may waive the immunity of its representative in any case where, in his

Privileges and immunities



1. Officials:

Article. XIV



Waiver of immunity



The privileges and immunities provided for in article XIII of this Convention shall provide


officials in the sole interest of the Organization and the independent exercise of their official

functions of such persons. The main official organization has the right and is

obliged to give up the immunity granted to any officials of the Organization

in those cases where, in its opinion, the immunity is an obstacle to the exercise of

Article. XV



Assistance to the representatives of States and officials



1. A State party to this Convention provides for representatives of the States in the institutions

that have a permanent residence on its territory.



Article. XVI



Compliance with the legal order of States



Organisations and persons enjoying privileges and immunities as provided for in this

the Convention, are required to comply with the law of a Contracting State to this Convention,

on whose territory they are situated.

Final provisions



Article. XVII



Signature of the Convention



This Convention shall be open for signature until 31 December 2006. December 1981.



Article. XVIII



Access



After the date referred to in article XVII this Convention shall be open for accession

any State. The instrument of accession shall be deposited with the depositary.



Article. XIX



The ratification of the



This Convention is subject to ratification. The instruments of ratification shall be deposited with

Article. XX



Entry into force



1. This Convention shall enter into force on the sixtieth day after the deposit of the sixth

instrument of ratification or instrument of accession.

Article. XXI



Changes



1. this Convention may be amended only with the consent of all of its contractual

2. Amendments to this Convention shall be subject to ratification and shall enter into force after the

deposit of the last instrument of ratification of the Contracting States of the Convention with

the depositary.



Article. XXII



The period of validity



This Convention is concluded for an unlimited period of time.



Article. XXIII



Notice of termination



1. any State may denounce this Convention by sending a notification about this

Article. XXIV
