from day 4. April 2001,
amending Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on universities and amending and
supplement other laws (law on higher education), as amended by Act No.
210/2000 Coll., and Act No. 451/1991 Coll., laying down some of the more
prerequisites to perform certain functions in State bodies and
organizations of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Czech Republic and
The Slovak Republic, as amended
Parliament has passed the following Act of the United States:
Article. (I)
Amendment of the Act on higher education Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on high
schools and amending and supplementing other acts (the Act on universities),
as amended by Act No. 211/2000 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in article 2 paragraph 4 is added:
"(4) high school to the University may make all types of study
programmes and in the context of the scientific and research, development,
artistic or other creative activities. ".
2. In article 2 (2). 5 the first sentence reads: "the high school non-University
Bachelor's degree programmes is carried out, and may also make
Master's degree programmes and in the context of this research,
development, artistic or other creative activities. ".
3. In article 20 (2). 3, the words "or relative or non-deposit
to commercial companies or cooperatives "shall be deleted and the end of the paragraph,
added a sentence that reads: "public high school is not entitled to become a
companion to a public company or the general partner of a limited partnership

4. In article 45, paragraph 1 reads:
"(1) Bachelor's degree program is focused on preparing for the performance
profession and to study the master's degree program. In the Bachelor
the study programme is immediately make use of contemporary knowledge and
the method; It also contains the extent necessary theoretical knowledge. ".
5. § 46 paragraph 2 reads as follows:
"(2) the master's degree programme follows on from the Bachelor's degree
the program; standard length of study is at least one and not more than three
for years. In cases, where required by the nature of the study programme, the
be granted the accreditation of master's study programme, which
does not connect to the Bachelor's degree programme; in this case, it is

6. In article 48, paragraph 1 reads:
"(1) a condition for admission to the Bachelor's and master's degree

7. In § 49 paragraph 1 reads:
"(1) high school or faculty may lay down additional conditions for the admission to
study on specific knowledge, skills or talents or
benefit from high school or college or high
the school; in the case of acceptance for study in master's degree programme,
that follows on from the Bachelor's degree programme, whether or not the conditions relating to
study of kinship, or the number of credits obtained during the study

8. § 50 para. 8 at the end of the following sentence is added: "the Ministry of

9. In article 58, paragraph 3 reads:
"(3) If a student Studying longer than the standard length of study plus
one year in the Bachelor's or master's degree program, provides

11. In § 72 para. 5 the third sentence, the words ' from a different high school than that "

14. In article 95, paragraph 2 reads as follows:
"(2) military high schools in adopting soldiers in active service to
the study of the requirements of the Ministry of Defense. The progress of the services and material
Security for students-soldiers in active service shall be governed by special legal

Article II

to perform certain functions in State bodies and organizations of the Czech and
Slovak Federal Republic, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic,
as amended by Act No. 254/1995 Coll. and Act No. 422/2000 Coll., in section 1 of the
paragraph. 3 after the words "high school", the words "and public

Article. (III)
Transitional provisions
