GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 12 October. August 1959
about the changes in the Organization of universities
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic ordered pursuant to section 3 of the Act No. 58/1950
Coll., on universities, and according to § 16 para. 4 of Act No. 31/1953 Coll.
the education system and teacher education (the Education Act): 46/1956 Coll.:
§ 1
(1) at Czech Technical University in Prague Faculty are aggregated
civil engineering with the faculty survey in the Faculty of law
civil engineering and the Faculty of electrical engineering faculty
low-voltage electrical engineering in Poděbrady in the Faculty of electrical engineering
based in Prague.
(2) at the Czech Technical University in Prague is transferred from the University
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of technical and nuclear physics.
§ 2
(1) the name of the High School in Prague by rail is hereby amended to read: high school
transport in Prague.
(2) at the high school of transport in Prague, Faculty of civil engineering are combined with
the Faculty enjoys the technical operation and economy in the Faculty of transport and
Faculty of mechanical engineering with the Faculty of electrical engineering in the Faculty of mechanical and
electrical engineering.
§ 3
At high school in Prague, chemickotechnologické changes the name of the Faculty
chemical technology of fuels and fuel technology: Faculty of sounds and water.
§ 4
(1) at high school in Prague is transferred from Czech
the Technical University in Prague, Faculty of forestry; This faculty is gradually
repealed beginning with the school year 1959/60.
(2) at the University of agriculture in Prague, changes the name of Faculty of Economics
and added: the Faculty of Economics and management.
§ 5
At the Technical University in Brno, Faculty of energy divides into
Faculty of mechanical engineering and the Faculty of electrical engineering.
§ 6
(1) the name of the College of agriculture and forestry in Brno is hereby amended to read:
University of agriculture in Brno.
(2) at the agricultural University in Brno, Faculty of traffic shall be established
economic faculty and is compatible with the Faculty of zootechnical in
the Faculty of law thereafter.
§ 7
At the high school of mining in Ostrava, Faculty of mining is compatible with the Faculty
in the Faculty of mining and geology-geological geology, the name of the Faculty of metallurgy,
be amended to read: the Faculty of metallurgy; Faculty of elektroinženýrská gradually
repealed beginning with the school year 1959/60.
§ 8
At the Technical University in Košice is amended the name of Faculty of heavy
Faculty of mechanical engineering, the Faculty of mining and metallurgy, and sounds: Faculty of engineering,
Faculty of mining and metallurgy faculty.
§ 9
At the College of agriculture in Nitra establishes Faculty of operationally
economic; the Faculty combines with the Faculty of zootechnical in
the Faculty of law thereafter.
§ 10
(1) at the Charles University in Prague Faculty are aggregated
philosophical-historical Faculty of philosophy in the Faculty of filologickou
and Faculty of biological Faculty of geologic-geographical Faculty of Sciences
the Faculty of science.
(2) at the Charles University in Prague is transferred from the High school teaching
named in Prague Faculty of Institute of physical education and sport.
(3) at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of General Office
medicine in Pilsen Faculty of medicine establishes its registered office in Pilsen.
§ 11
High School of the Russian language and literature in Prague will gradually be repealed;
beginning with the school year 1959/60.
§ 12
The University of Economics in Prague, Faculty of with the name of the Institute shall be established
macroeconomic planning. Faculty of finance and credit is compatible with
the Faculty of statistics, and with the Faculty of Economics in the Faculty of law in General
political economy. The name of the Faculty of internal and external trade with
be amended to read: Faculty of business.

§ 14
Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of science combines
with the Faculty of geological sciences in the Faculty of law, Faculty of geographical.
§ 15
The University of Economics in Bratislava, the Faculty shall be established with the name
Institute of Economics and Faculty of general economic planning
integrates with the Faculty of internal trade and finance in the Faculty of law, political
Economics.

§ 17
High school teaching in Prague and the College of education in
Bratislava will gradually be deleted starting from the school year 1959/60.

Higher pedagogical school in Prague, Ceske Budejovice, Plzen, in the
Ústí nad Labem, Brno, Opava, in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica and in
Prešov is gradually repealed beginning with the school year 1959/60.
§ 19
At the Academy of performing arts in Prague, changes the name of the Faculty of film and
added: the Faculty of film and television.
section 20
At the Janáček Academy of music and performing arts in Brno the Faculty shall be deleted;
Faculty of theatre and music. This high school is Sunday on the faculty.
section 21
This Regulation shall take effect from 1 January 2003. September 1959; does the Minister
education and culture, in agreement with the participating members of the Government.
