on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist

Republic and the Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville)



29 April 2004. November 1966 she was in Brazzaville signed the agreement on cultural

cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of

Congo (Brazzaville).



According to article 9 of the Agreement entered into force on 29 April 2006. November

1966.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

Desiring to expand mutual relations in the field of culture, education, science

and art and consolidate so friendly relations between the peoples of both countries,



have decided to conclude this agreement and to this end have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall, on the basis of mutual friendship and understanding, and

obeying the principles of sovereignty, non-interference and equality, to promote

cultural relations between the two countries and contribute to mutual cognition

cultural values of the peoples of the two countries and the progress achieved in the field of

culture, education, science and art.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall promote the marketing of music and cinematographic works,

organizing lectures, artistic, cultural and scientific exhibitions and

the issue of translation of important works of scientific and artistic literature second

of the country.



Article 3



The Contracting Parties shall encourage the development of cooperation and exchange of experience

among the scientific, cultural, educational and health care, as well as

social and cooperative organizations and institutions of both States. For

this purpose will be to facilitate the reciprocal secondment of teaching staff

and other experts from the field of education, culture and science.



Article 4



Each of the parties will support the teaching of the history and geography of the second

countries and the dissemination of knowledge of the other country in their schools and awareness-raising

devices. Each Contracting Party shall ensure that textbooks did not contain

incorrect information about the other country.



Article 5



The Contracting Parties shall allow nationals of the second Member State study on the high and

vocational schools and to this end they will provide each other with

scholarships and other benefits. To recognise diplomas issued in the

their studies at universities and secondary schools and the diplomas, which

grant university degrees.



Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall encourage the holding of sports competitions between

nationals of their countries and the mutual broadcasting athletes.



Article 7



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the exchange of books, scientific,

cultural and artistic works and publications, films and music.

They will also promote the mutual disclosure of articles on cultural life

Article 8



For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will negotiate always to a certain

the time period detailed plans of cultural cooperation, which will be

laid down the principles and conditions of carrying out of cultural events.



Article 9



This agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years and shall enter into force on the date of

the signature.



The validity of the agreement shall be tacitly renewed for a further five years, always, if

one of the Contracting Parties denounces it in writing at least six months before the

the end of the current period.



Done at Brazzaville on 29. November 1966 in two copies, each in the

English and French languages, both texts being equally authentic.
