The obverse features the main motive side is a portrait of Bohemian inventor and industrialist Frantisek Krizik, who had to implement a decisive share of electrified line. The left edge of the coin is the two-line unclosed his name, "Frantisek Krizik" and the dates of his birth and death, "1847-1941".
