the long-term agreement on economic cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak
Socialist Republic and the Government of the French Republic
On 14 June 2005. November 1975 was signed in Paris a long-term agreement on the
economic cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Republic and the Government of the French Republic. On the basis of article VI of the
The agreement entered into force on signature.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

LONG-TERM AGREEMENT
on economic cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Republic and the Government of the French Republic
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French

-referring to the agreement on economic cooperation in the field of industry

-Desiring to develop their relations in the best use of all resources,
that provides the economic progress of both countries,
-aware of the essential role that has possess economic cooperation in
the development of bilateral relations,
-having a need to establish a solid framework and long-term provisions in order to
facilitate the creation of a close and permanent cooperation relations between
the competent authorities and enterprises of the two countries,
-Desiring to elevate development cooperation on a mutually advantageous basis,
have agreed as follows:
Article. (I)
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French
the Republic will support all the means at their disposal,
the development of economic cooperation between the institutions and enterprises of the two countries.
Article II
For the strengthening of relations between enterprises from the two Governments will be especially paid to the
increasing the mutual knowledge of their prospects for long-term development.
In order to facilitate the exchange of information in this area will be able to
the representatives of the authorities responsible for the planning, it will be both
the parties agree, be invited to participate in meetings of the Joint Commission

Article. (III)
The Joint Commission envisaged in article V of this Agreement shall determine the areas in

Both sides believe that favorable prospects there are, especially in
the following areas:
-Metallurgy of iron
-mechanical and electrical industry
-chemical industry
-Electronics
-information technology
-production of automobiles and other means of transport
-building industry
-agricultural machinery and food industry.
Article IV
Cooperation between the institutions and enterprises of the two countries can have in particular the following forms:
-joint construction of new industrial facilities, extension and
modernization of existing units in each of the two countries and in third
countries,
-cooperation in the field of production, manufacturing and sales, the
-the exchange of know-how, technical information, patents and licences; development of the new
techniques; education and the exchange of specialists and trainees.

For monitoring the implementation of this agreement and for the adoption of measures necessary for the
the implementation of its provisions shall be established the Joint Commission for economic
cooperation.
Its scope covers all questions arising from the economic
cooperation between the two countries. It has especially for the task of creating favourable
conditions for the development of this cooperation, identify your goals and draw up new
proposals in this area. Creates a particularly specialized working committees in the
the main areas of cooperation and to coordinate their activities.
The Joint Commission shall meet at the request of one of the parties, in principle once
a year, alternately in Prague and Paris.
Čl.VI
This agreement is concluded for a period of ten years and shall enter into force on the date of
the signature. Six months before the expiry of its validity, the Contracting Parties
agree on the measures that will be taken to ensure
the continuation of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Done at Paris on 14. November 1975, in two originals, each in the
English and French languages, both texts being equally authentic.
