on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government
The State of Kuwait on cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences
Change: 98/1997.
On 18 July 2005. December 1979 in Kuwait was signed agreement between the Government
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the State of Kuwait
cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences.
Agreement entered into force, pursuant to article 12 on 11 March 2006. March
1980.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the State of
Kuwait on cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the State of Kuwait,
Desiring to develop relations and cooperation between the two countries in the field of
health and medical sciences,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall encourage cooperation and the exchange of experience in the
health and medical sciences, so that this cooperation
contribute to further improve the health of the people of both countries.
Article 2
The Contracting Parties shall exchange experience gained in organization and
the management of health care, in particular in the areas of prevention, treatment, hygiene,
protiepidemické care, medical education and the use of medical
tools and medicines.
Article 3
The Contracting Parties shall exchange materials and information about conferences
and speaking on issues of health. If you held
the Assembly of an international character in the medical field or
Medical Sciences in the territory of one Contracting Party, this party invites
the other party to participate at this meeting.
Article 4
The Contracting Parties shall exchange lists of literature and
medical films from the area of medical education.
Article 5
With a view to the common fight against infectious diseases, the two Contracting Parties
will be periodically to exchange insights about epidemiological situations
experience of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of such diseases.
Article 6
The Contracting Parties shall develop and deepen cooperation between research
institutes, medical schools and other health care institutions in Exchange
experience.
Article 7
The Contracting Parties shall cooperate in the field of vocational education
health professionals, in particular by promoting:
1. exchanges of doctors and other health care professionals for the purpose of
in-service training or specialization, as well as for the purpose of study
certain types of diseases,
2. exchanges of teaching aids and teaching experience in the field
the health sector.
Article 8
The Czechoslovak party will assist the implementation of health programs
Kuwait, in particular:
1. transmission specialists for the establishment, organization and management
health care facilities, as well as other medical professionals on the

2. use in the upbringing of Kuwaiti health workers broadcast
Czechoslovak experts and physicians educators to Kuwait for this purpose

Article 9
The competent authorities and institutions of the Contracting Parties will accept the citizens of

conditions to be agreed upon in the implementation plans pursuant to article 10
of this agreement.
Article 10
For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will negotiate the detailed plans
cooperation at the certain time period.
Article 11
The Contracting Parties shall cover the costs incurred for the cooperation
According to the provisions of this agreement on the basis of the following principles:
1. the lists of professional literature and medical films, teaching aids,
graphic and other AIDS for medical education will be exchanged
free of charge;
2. reimbursement of costs associated with the mutual broadcasting, delegations or
the participants of conferences and gatherings will be agreed in the individual
implementation plans of cooperation concluded in accordance with article 10 of this agreement;
3. the costs associated with broadcasting and resident physicians and other healthcare
staff in the territory of the other Contracting Party shall be borne by the party in whose favour
or on the request of these persons have been sent;
4. costs associated with the provision of treatment in accordance with article 9 of this
the agreement shall be borne by the party sending the person for treatment.
Article 12
This agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the constitutional rules of the Contracting Parties
and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.
This agreement is concluded for a period of five years. Its validity will be
prolong to the next always five-year periods, unless one of the
of the Contracting Parties denounces it in writing at least six months before the end of
the current period of validity.
Due in Kuwait on 18 July 2005. December 1979 in two original copies in the
Czech, English, Arabic and English languages, each text being equally
force. In case of differences in interpretation will be determinative.
