on the agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian
Republic on cooperation in the field of health care
On 18 July 2005. November 1982 in Vienna was signed the agreement between the
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria on the
cooperation in the field of health care. Agreement entered into force on
pursuant to article 4 on 1 January 2000. July 1983.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT
between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria on the
cooperation in the field of health
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Austria,
Desiring to promote the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of
health care,
convinced that this cooperation will contribute to the development of good
neighborly relations between the two countries, and
Bearing in mind its responsibility to take care in accordance with the objectives and principles of the world
Health Organization for the best possible protection of health in both
States,
have agreed to conclude this agreement:
Article 1
The Contracting States will promote cooperation in the field of health care. This
cooperation will take place in particular through the exchange of
experience in the following areas:
1. the management, planning and organisation of the health service;
2. education and continuing education of physicians and other health
workers;
3. organisation of preventive care;
4. Organization of urgent medical assistance, hospital and spa treatment;
5. hygiene and the fight against infectious diseases;
6. Organization and methods of health education;
7. Organization and methods of control of pharmaceuticals.
Article 2
For the purpose of implementing the co-operation between the Contracting States support
in particular:
1. the cooperation of their medical facilities and institutions;
2. the cooperation of their medical scientific societies;
3. mutually agreed exchanges and contacts between scientists and professionals
health care, in particular for the purpose of further education in the professions,
including the related use of laboratories, scientific libraries, and
other documentation centres;
4. mutual inviting scientists and experts on relevant professional action.
Article 3
For the purpose of implementation of this agreement will be negotiated, alternately in one of the
both of the Contracting States plans work valid for three years. In these
work plans will be closer to the agreed upon taking into account the principles
balance and mutual benefit content and forms of cooperation, as well as
the exchange of scientists and experts, and this scope, length of stay and the conditions, in particular
financial, in the receiving State, including the provision of free emergency
medical care.
Article 4
This agreement is concluded for a period of five years. Its validity shall be extended
always about the next five years, if one of the Contracting States to this agreement
notice in writing through diplomatic channels, no later than six months before the
expiry of that period.
This agreement shall come into force on the first day of the third month after the end
the month in which the Contracting States shall mutually exchange of notes announced that they were
meet national conditions for its entry into force.
On the evidence of the agent of both Contracting States have signed this agreement and
obtain seals.
Given in Vienna on 18 July 2005. November 1982 in two original copies,
each in the Czech and German languages, both texts being equally
force.
