The COMMUNICATION FROM the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the 17 November. March 1995 was in
Bratislava Agreement signed between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of
The Slovak Republic about the transfer of rights and obligations arising from the exercise of
the Basic (alternative) service in the vojskách of the Interior Ministry troops, and in the
Federal Police and soldiers in basic (alternative) service
called to perform the tasks in the Federal Police Corps and the Corps Castle
the police.
Agreement entered into force, pursuant to article 5 on the day 17. March
1995.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.
The AGREEMENT
between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Slovak Republic on the transition

have agreed as follows:
Article 1
Rights and obligations arising from the exercise of the Basic (alternative) service
soldiers in the vojskách of the Interior Ministry and the Federal Police Corps
and soldiers in the base (replacement) service called to perform the tasks in the
The Federal Police Corps and the Corps Castle police are switching to Czech
Republic and the Slovak Republic pursuant to or in the place of permanent residence
the soldier, who had 31. December 1992.
Article 2
The Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Slovak Republic will take over in accordance with article
1 also the rights and obligations arising from the exercise of the Basic (alternative)

Article 3

Article 4
This agreement shall not affect obligations arising from other international

This agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and will take effect on the date of
the signature.
Done at Bratislava on 17. March 1995 in two original copies,
each in the Czech and Slovak languages, both texts being equally
force.
