on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist
Republic and the Republic of Iraq
On 7 December. May 1959 was in Baghdad negotiated an agreement on cultural cooperation
between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Iraq.
The agreement was approved by the Government of the day 2. September 1959.
The agreement came into force on 2 December. September 1959.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

who, having exchanged their full powers, and after verification of their correctness is
agreed on this:
Article 1
Both Contracting Parties shall develop cooperation and exchange of experience between
scientific, cultural, educational and medical organizations both
countries and to this end will allow mutual visits of university professors,
teachers in secondary schools and technical schools, as well as members of the above
organizations and other institutions.
Article 2
The two parties will provide scholarships and other benefits to the citizens of the other
the Contracting Parties and allow them to study at their universities, artistic,
technical and other schools.
Article 3
1. in the framework of its laws and regulations, each Party shall facilitate the establishment

Article 4
The two parties will develop mutual cultural relations, organize
musical and artistic performances, lectures, artistic, archaeological and

Article 8
The two parties will allow the publishing of translations of notable scientific,
cultural and artistic works, the citizens of the other party.
Article 9
The two parties will assist in strengthening cooperation in the field of
print, radio and television and allows the exchange of representatives
the official news agencies.
Article 10
The Contracting Parties shall, within their capabilities on their universities
or scientific institutions of the Department or section of the study of language, culture and
literature of the other party.
Article 11
1. in order to implement this agreement for each year will be determined by the plan
