on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the

the Royal Government of Nepal concerning cooperation in the field of health and

medical science



On 1 May 2004. March 1979 in Kathmandu was the agreement signed between the Government of

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Royal Government of Nepal about

cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences. Agreement entered on

pursuant to article 9, in force on the date of signature.



English translation of the text of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement



between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Royal Government of

Nepal, on cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Royal Government of Nepal

(hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties) in an effort to strengthen friendly relations and

cooperation in the field of health and medical science between the two countries,



have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall develop cooperation and to promote the mutual exchange of

experience in the field of health and medical sciences.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall exchange, in particular, the experience of a section of the hospital

preventive health care, hygiene and protiepidemické services, health

education and experience in the use of medical instruments and medicines.



Article 3



The Contracting Parties shall inform each other about congresses and symposia with

international participation, relating to medical issues and held on

within their territory.



Article 4



The Contracting Parties shall exchange lists of medical literature and

medical films, visuals and other material from the

health education and medical sciences.



Article 5



For the purpose of common fight against communicable diseases will be appropriate

the authorities and institutions of the Contracting Parties to exchange experience on prevention,

the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases, as well as overviews of epidemiological

the situation in his country.



Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall cooperate in the field of training for medical

of workers, in particular by



and a) at the request of either Contracting Party, the Contracting Party will be the second broadcast

experts to train health care workers or allow the

medical personnel training in its facilities;



(b)) will support the exchange of doctors and other health care workers to

study stays and, if possible, provide scholarships for

postgraduate training in a special field and the study of certain

types of diseases;



(c)) will be exchange of teaching aids and teaching experience.



Article 7



The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties, and the device will accept citizens of other

Parties on the treatment, under conditions to be agreed upon in the plans

cooperation, to be concluded in accordance with the provisions of article 8.



Article 8



For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will negotiate cooperation plans, which

they will also contain financial and organisational conditions.



Article 9



This agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature and remain in force for

period of five years. It will then be renewed every five

years, if one of the Contracting Parties denounces it six months in writing

before the expiry of the current period of validity. This agreement may be

changed with the consent of both parties.



Given and signed in Kathmandu on 1 May 2004. March 1979 in two original

copies in the English language.
