on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist

the Republic and the people's Revolutionary Council of Cambodia



On 19 December. November 1980 in Prague a cultural agreement signed

cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the people's

the Revolutionary Council of Cambodia. Agreement entered into force on the basis of their

Article 11 on 23 September 2006. April 1981.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement



on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist

the Republic and the people's Revolutionary Council of Cambodia



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the people's Revolutionary Council

Cambodia, starting in the efforts to develop and strengthen fraternal relations

between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Cambodian people's

Republic on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and Socialist

internationalism, desiring to expand cultural and scientific relations

between the two countries, develop friendship and strengthen mutual volumes

understanding among the peoples of the two countries, have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cultural and

scientific exchanges on the basis of respect for the principles of sovereignty, equality and

non-interference in the internal affairs of the other party, and in accordance with the laws of

of the two countries.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall contribute to the development of cooperation in the field of education,

Science, culture and art, literature, and publishing of books, bulk

the media, health, physical education, sport and

tourism. For this purpose, will support the establishment and development of relations

between State bodies and non-governmental organisations active in the scientific and

cultural area.



Article 3



1. The Contracting Parties shall develop cooperation in the field of education. For this

(b)) the exchange of school textbooks, educational and laboratory equipment;



(c)) the exchange of professors on placement to increase their professional qualification and

broadcasting professors to teach or lecture activities;



(d)) the mutual granting scholarships to study, as well as the exchange of information on

fields of study offered and the reception conditions of students on

the school.



2. the Contracting Parties shall examine the conditions for the conclusion of specific agreements concerning the

the mutual recognition of the equivalence of evidence of school education, scientific

ranks, as well as the scientific-pedagogical and academic titles

obtained in the territory of the other Contracting Party.



Article 4



1. the Contracting Parties shall promote the exchange of scientific personnel,

representatives of scientific societies and other experts for the implementation of

scientific research, lectures and to meet with the activities of the scientific

the device, as well as the exchange of publications and other scientific materials

that will have a common interest.



2. The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the participation of experts of the other party

on the national or international scientific conferences and seminars,

that will take place in their territory.



Article 5



Each Contracting Party shall facilitate exploring the cultural heritage and

the current national culture of the people of the other State. To this end, the two

Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall proceed to active cooperation in the field of printing and

the exchange of information and documentation from the political,

Economic and cultural life of their countries.

even in the field of television.



Article 7



The Contracting Parties shall develop in accordance with the specific agreement of cooperation

in the area of health care.



Article 8



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the development of contacts between the tělovýchovnými and

sports organisations of both countries.



Article 9



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the development of direct contacts between trade unions and

youth organisations and women's organisations in both States.



Article 10



To implement this agreement, the Contracting Parties will be always on the exact period

to draw up plans for cooperation, in which they will be

financial terms of the implementation of individual actions.



Article 11



The agreement is subject to approval by the constitutional laws of both Contracting Parties,

and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.



Article 12



This agreement is concluded for a period of five years. Will be tacitly extended always

for a further five-year period, until one or the other party

a written notice of at least six months before the expiry of the relevant period

its validity.



Article 13



The date on which this agreement enters into force, the agreement shall cease to

cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the
