between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French

On 23 December 2005. January 1986 was in Prague signed a long-term agreement on the

economic, industrial and technical cooperation between the Government of

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French Republic.

Agreement entered into force, pursuant to article IX, on the date of signature.

Article. (I)



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the French

Republic, hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties", recognising the benefits that for

their national economy will mean a permanent and balanced

the expansion of economic relations between the two countries, with this

perspective to support the development of economic, industrial and technical

cooperation between enterprises and organisations of an economic nature of both

countries.



Article II



As a result, the Contracting Parties attach great importance to mutual

awareness of the long-term economic orientation in the field of agricultural

and industrial projects that are part of their plans.



In particular, will ensure that businesses and organizations were involved in the

appropriate time properly and impartially informed of proposed contracts

public competitions and international consultations of all kinds, which would

likely to affect them.



Article. (III)



The parties will support the initiative to enter into contracts

and conditions under this agreement between the Czechoslovak firms and

organisations on the one hand and the French firms and organizations on

the other, and to assist the implementation of these agreements and arrangements.

Czechoslovak and French enterprises and organisations of all sizes,

including small and medium-sized enterprises.



Article IV



The Contracting Parties are of the opinion that in addition to the normal economic relations

between the Czechoslovak and French firms involved and

organisations there are especially beneficial options collaboration in a number of

areas, the list of which is annexed to this agreement, or in other

areas of common interest, which will result in the implementation of this agreement.

This list will be after the expiry of the first five years after the signing of this agreement

examined in accordance with the provisions contained in article VIII.



Article. In



In order to make the most effective support for the development of economic, industrial and

technical cooperation between enterprises and organizations of the two countries may

cooperation, within the limits of the legislation of the Contracting Parties, in

appropriate, in particular in the following forms:



-cooperation in the construction of new economic objects, or when you

extension and modernisation of existing objects, from the stage of studies to

after their commissioning,



-cooperation in the production and sales of machinery, industrial equipment, as well as

in the Assembly,



-cooperation in the study of markets in third countries, and the construction of the production and

other objects in those countries,



-technical cooperation in the form of an exchange of patents and documentation for

the improvement of already existing or introducing new technology

processes, training and exchange of experts and trainees.



The conditions and the way of this cooperation will be mutually agreed upon between

the relevant enterprises, organizations and institutions of both countries.



Čl.VI



The Contracting Parties consider that the development of their economic cooperation may

be facilitated by the use of different forms and methods, for example. broadcast

technical and information missions, participation in trade fairs and the implementation of the

internships in the framework of the technical cooperation provided for in the agreement on scientific and

technical cooperation of 29 April. June 1965. The Contracting Parties affirm

support initiatives leading to a better understanding of the economic

potentials of the two countries, and to their full use.



Article. (VII)



Financing of projects between the Czechoslovak and French businesses and

organizations, including projects on third markets will, if possible,

adapted to the nature of each operation in compliance with the national

regulations, or. international rules applicable to one or

the other Contracting Party.



Article. (VIII)



To support the implementation of the objectives of this agreement, in the spirit of trust and good

will entrust the implementation of this agreement, the Contracting Parties the Joint Commission

established under article 7 of the agreement on economic cooperation in the field of industry

of the 23. February 1970.



The Joint Commission may set up working groups as required in the

appropriate areas of cooperation and, if it considers it expedient,

permanently and work proactively organise consultations, which would enhance the effectiveness of the

After the first five-year period after the signing of this agreement, the joint

the Commission shall review annex to this agreement and, if necessary, shall submit to the

Contracting Parties to the proposals for the amendment of the annex. The annex is an integral part of the

Article. (IX)



This agreement shall enter into force on the date of its signature. It shall be concluded for a period of

10 years of age. One year before the end of its validity, the Contracting Parties

agree on measures to ensure the continuation of economic, industrial

and technical cooperation between the two countries.
