Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the 15 December. in October 1997,

Prague signed an agreement on cooperation between the Czech Republic and

The International Organization for Migration (IOM).



With the Treaty, its assent, Parliament of the Czech Republic and the President of the

CONTRACT



on the cooperation between the Czech Republic and the International Organization for

migration



Czech Republic on the one hand, and the International Organization for migration

(hereinafter referred to as "IOM") of the other part, (hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties"),



Recalling that the Czech Republic is 28 February. November 1995 to become

a member of the IOM,



with a desire to further strengthen their friendly relations and mutual cooperation,



Bearing in mind that, in accordance with articles 27 and 28 of the Statute, the IOM is IOM legal

person and has the legal capacity necessary to perform its functions and to

the accomplishment of its purpose, and that these articles define the privileges and immunities, which

IOM and its employees are entitled to enjoy,



considering that the purpose and function of the IOM and the activities carried out by IOM and its

employees will be guaranteed by the fact that Czech Republic will grant the IOM and its

staff privileges and immunities consistent with those that are granted

the expert of the UNITED NATIONS organizations and their officials,



kept the principles of international law and recognizing the status of IOM,



have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The IOM and officials of the Organization will be in the Czech Republic enjoy the same

Article 2

Article 3



(1) the details of the cooperation between the Contracting Parties relating to the

(2) the Czech Republic shall notify the competent authorities referred to in paragraph 1 the IOM

through the diplomatic channel.



Article 4



Any discrepancy between the Contracting Parties in the interpretation or implementation of this

the Treaty, which will not be solved by negotiation of the parties, will be to

the final decision of the court consisting of three arbitrators:

one, who will be appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech

Republic, one to be appointed by the Director General of the IOM, and

the third, who shall be Chairman of the Court and who is appointed the first two

the arbitrators.



Article 5



The provisions of this Treaty may, upon mutual written agreement

the Contracting Parties, amended at any time. Negotiations on the revision will be conducted on the

Article 6



This agreement is subject to approval in accordance with national laws

regulations of the Czech Republic and shall enter into force on the first day of the month

Article 7
