on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government

The Syrian Arab Republic on cooperation in the field of tourism



Day 8. April 1988 in Prague was the agreement signed between the Government of

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian Arab

Republic on cooperation in the field of tourism. The agreement entered into

force on the basis of its article 6 on 30 April 2005. July 1988.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT



between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian

Arab Republic on cooperation in the field of tourism



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Syrian Arab

Republic (hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties"),



Desiring to establish closer cooperation in the field of tourism and

Recognizing the importance of tourism not only for the development of the economy

the two States, but also for the further development of friendly relations,



have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall take all the necessary steps to promote and develop

the tourist exchange between the two countries, to this end, the Parties shall:

transport companies (national air companies, ground

transport companies, etc.), tourist companies and travel

agencies, the social authorities in the two States,

professional trade fairs and thematic paths, paying particular attention to the

youth travel



(d)) shall provide support to members of the State party

who wish to visit the second State



(e)) will support the exchange of publications, films and exhibitions, and all other

resources to the development of travel between the two countries.



Article 2



For the purpose of exchanging experiences and developing methods of tourism contract

information on relevant aspects of domestic and international travel

Article 3



In the area of education experts of tourism will each party

promote the exchange of instructors and trainees from their respective

organizations.



Article 4



Direct and indirect services provided to the Czechoslovak tourists, including

other charges will be paid from unpaid Czechoslovak

claims arising from loans granted to Syrian organizations

foreign trade organizations.

Republic will specify these services on the basis of specific agreements

between the competent organizations of the tourism industry of both States.

Socialist Republic of Romania and the Ministry of tourism of the Syrian Arab

Article 5



The representatives of both Contracting Parties will meet to assess the

the organisation of tourist exchanges and for presenting recommendations

to the competent authorities.

Article 6



This agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the legislation of each of the

Article 7



Agreement shall be concluded for a period of five years. Then the force of silence

through the diplomatic channel of one of the Contracting Parties not later than six months

before the expiry of the period of validity.



Signed in Prague on 8. April 1988, in two original copies,

each in the Czech language and Arabic, both texts being equally

force.
