The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic



of 27 June. April 1978



about the excavation of the Czechoslovak ducats to 600. anniversary of the death of Charles IV.



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic ordered under section 5 of the Act

No 76/1976 Coll., on the excavation of the Czechoslovak ducats:



§ 1



(1) on the occasion of 600. anniversary of the death of Charles IV. the making of the Czechoslovak

ducats (hereinafter referred to as "ducats").



(2) the blazes as jednodukáty Ducats, dvojdukáty, pětidukáty and

desetidukáty of an alloy containing 986 1/9 parts gold and 13 8/9 parts

copper. The excavation is allowed variance of up to one thousandth of a above or

below the specified weight and purity.



§ 2



(1) Jednodukát has a mass of 3.4909 grams of fine gold content 3.4210 g

19.75 mm diameter and its edge is a finely serrated.



(2) on the front of jednodukátu is located the Czechoslovak coat of arms

the Socialist Republic. The name of the State of the "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALIST

AFRICA "is in the copy from the left down in two open circles.

(3) on the reverse side of the jednodukátu is a portrait of Charles IV. in the right

§ 3



(1) Dvojdukát has a mass of 6.9818 grams of fine gold content 6.8848 g

(2) on the front of dvojdukátu is located the Czechoslovak coat of arms

Socialist Republic, beneath it is the value "2". The name of the State

"The CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALIST REPUBLIC" is in the copy from the left up in the

perlovcem. In the middle of the bottom below the value "2" is the year of mintage

"1978".



(3) on the reverse side of the dvojdukátu is shown Front Royal

seal of Charles IV, representing the King sitting on the throne and holding

in his left hand and a scepter in the right Apple. In the copy from the right down in the closed

the circle, with the outer and inner perimeter of the small perlovcem is

the Latin text "KAROLUS DEI GRA REX ROMANOR SEMPER AUGUSTUS"; After

located on the reverse side of the right foot.



§ 4



(1) Pětidukát has a mass of 17.4545 grams of fine gold content 17.2120 g

diameter 34 mm, and its edge is a finely serrated.



(2) on the front of pětidukátu is located the Czechoslovak coat of arms

the Socialist Republic. The name of the State of the "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALIST

AFRICA "is in the copy right down in a closed circle. The sides of the

the State emblem are double round circles. In the middle of under State

character is the year of mintage "1978", below the value number "5".



(3) on the reverse side of the theme is displayed pětidukátu sealers

§ 5



(1) Desetidukát has a mass of 34.9090 grams of fine gold content 34.4240 g

diameter 42 mm, and its edge is a finely serrated.



(2) on the front of desetidukátu is located the Czechoslovak coat of arms

the Socialist Republic. The name of the State of the "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALIST

AFRICA "is in the copy right down in a closed circle. The sides of the

the State emblem are double round circles. In the middle of under State

character is the year of mintage "1978", below it the value "10" number.



(3) on the reverse side of the desetidukátu is a panorama of Hradcany with Charles

bridge. At the bottom of the coat of arms of Prague. In the copy from the left up to the

the Latin text "PRAGA MATER URBIUM".



(4) the mark "zk" author of the design of the academic sculptor Zdeněk Kolářského is

located on the reverse side of the desetidukátu to the left of the character of the city of Prague.



§ 6



(1) in 1978, making twenty-thousand and ten thousand jednodukátů

dvojdukátů, pětidukátů and desetidukátů.



(2) in the 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982, leading the ten thousands

(3) the State Mint minted Ducats in Kremnica.
