The COMMUNICATION FROM the



Ministry of Foreign Affairs



Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the 19 July. January 1998 was in

Stuttgart signed a joint agreement on co-operation in the field of higher

schools between the Ministry of education, youth and sports of the Czech Republic

and the Ministry for science, research and the arts Baden-Wuerttemberg for the years

1997-1999.



Agreement entered into force on the date of signature.

Joint arrangements



on cooperation in the field of higher education between the Ministry of education,

Youth and sports of the Czech Republic and by the Ministry for science, research

and art of Baden-Württemberg for the years 1997-1999



On the basis of the existing successful cooperation and with a desire to continue in it,

The Ministry of education, youth and sports of the Czech Republic and

The Ministry for science, research and the arts Baden-Württemberg (

"the Contracting Parties") have agreed on the following cooperation for the years 1997 to

1999 as follows:



(I).



High school



Article 1



The main area of cooperation is the exchange of students, scientific and

University teacher on the basis of reciprocity. The Contracting Parties shall provide the

for this purpose the required scholarship funds.



Czech party offers annually:



-three jednosemestrová scholarships for Baden-Württemberg of Württemberg students

Czech language and literature,



-three scholarships for PhD students in the Baden-Württemberg of Württemberg the length of the grass

one to two semesters,



-the exchange of university teachers by providing four scholarships especially for

University teachers of philosophy in the length of the grass three to four weeks,



-five scholarships for students of Württemberg, Baden-Summer courses

the school of Slavonic studies.



Baden-Württemberg of Württemberg party offers annually:



-three jednosemestrová scholarships for students of German, Czech



-three scholarships for PhD students in the length of the grass, the Czech one to two

semesters,



-the exchange of university teachers by providing four scholarships especially for

University of German Philology in the length of the grass three to four weeks,



-up to ten scholarships for summer courses intended for historians, political scientists,

lawyers, philosophers and theologians in the duration of four weeks.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall promote the cooperation of the universities. On the forms and

the terms of this cooperation is the high school agree themselves.



Article 3



The parties will support the activities of the speaker of the Czech language and

literature, applied in the context of the above scholarships for PhD students

at the University of Konstanz.



II.



Financial and organisational provisions



Article 4



The Contracting Parties shall guarantee the scholarship exemption from all study

the fees.



Article 5



The Contracting Parties shall assist in the accommodation of students of universities and

doctoral students at the University campus, and provide to the fellows due

care.



Article 6



The amount of the scholarships for the Baden-Württemberg of Württemberg University students is

3000.0-CZK per month and for PhD students-3500.0-per month.



Czech party shall provide to the Catholic side Baden-Württemberg University

teachers free accommodation, meals and pocket money in the amount of CZK 280.0-on

the day.



Czech party guarantees participants the summer courses exemption

registration fees and excursions and offers a free accommodation and meals.



Article 7



The amount of the scholarships for the Czech University students is 900.0-DM per month

and for PhD students-1200.0-DM per month.



Baden-Württemberg of Württemberg, the Contracting Party will be the Czech University

teachers assist in securing accommodation and provide scholarship

the amount of 400.0-DM for a week.



Baden-Württemberg of Württemberg, the Contracting Party shall provide the participants of the summer courses

on the payment kursovného, charges for excursions and accommodation costs and

Article 8



Travel in the first place study stay in the receiving State and

back from the last place shall be borne by the sending party. Any

travel expenses held in the receiving State associated with the agreed

study and research programme will be paid from grants.



Article 9



The receiving party shall provide medical care for diseases and

accidents, excluding chronic disease and dental prostheses. Czech

scholarship and college teachers for this purpose in

Baden-Württemberg corresponding insurance that will pay off

the provided scholarships.



Article 10



The Contracting Parties shall exchange proposals including summer study visits

holiday courses each year to 31. March. In doing so, it is necessary to submit

all of the required supporting documents. Proposals for study visits of higher education

teachers should the receiving party should receive, no later than two

months before departure. The Contracting Parties shall communicate to the 30. June, whether designing

candidates will be admitted, and in which high schools.



III.



Final provisions



Article 11



Submitted by Common arrangement is valid until 31 December 2006. 12.1999. Then it will be

automatically extended for one year, unless one of the two partners

terminated three months before the expiry of the calendar year.



This joint agreement is drawn up in the Czech and German language.
