the agreement on the cultural relations between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and
Kingdom of the Belgian.
Between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and the Kingdom of the Belgian was in Prague
January 6. March 1947 agreed the agreement on cultural relations with the final
Protocol.
This agreement and the final Protocol has been approved by the Government in its meeting
held on 4 December 2002. March 1947 and 31 December 2006. May 1947 have been ratified by
the President of the Republic.
The exchange of instruments of ratification was made in Brussels, 2. June
1948.
The agreement with the final Protocol became, according to his article. 14 the effectiveness
on the date of its signature, t. j. day 6. March 1947.
The text of this agreement and of the final Protocol shall be designated in the annex to

This agreement shall be annexed:
The AGREEMENT
on the cultural relations between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and the Kingdom of
The Belgian.
The Government of the Republic and the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium shall be kept
a joint effort between upevniti and rozvíjeti cultural and intellectual relations

Article 1
The purpose of the agreement is upevniti and enlarge the good relations of the two countries in the

between the two parties.
Article 2
To address issues arising from the implementation of this Agreement shall be
established by the Joint Commission. This will consist of twelve members, each
the party will be represented by six members in it. The composition and scope of the

1. The Commission sends its representative for Czechoslovakia's Ministry
education and public education, in agreement with the Ministry of information and the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of public instruction in Belgium. For a list of
representatives of each party will be passed through the diplomatic channel to the Government
of the other party for approval.
2. The Joint Commission will be scházeti to the plenary meetings, in the case

Article 3
After approval of the agreement by the Governments of both countries will be implementing a directive, the

Article 4

of the contracting countries shall lay down the modalities of this Exchange, determines the number of professors,

Article 5
Under similar conditions, it will be possible to produce such teachers of schools,
medium-sized or preparation for university studies, schools of art,
industrial, farm and gardening.
Article 6
Each Contracting Party is entitled to zakládati cultural institutes in the territory of
the other side, on condition that they be subjected to the legal provisions
valid for the establishment of similar institutions in each of these countries.
Article 7
Both sides claim that they want to podporovati the award of scholarships to

Article 8
The two parties will be holding vacation courses for podporovati

Article 9
The Contracting Parties undertake to take all practical measures to ensure that
difficulties have been removed, which now hamper the regular exchange of students.
Article 10
The question of the equivalence of the diploma and the academic diplomas will be subject
a thorough examination of the Mixed Commission or Subcommittee, this task is especially
authorized. Both parties are aware of the possibility of want in
the limits of validity of the legal provisions of their own country and proof of
rank, which reach their members on the teaching institutions
the country of the other party.
Article 11
The Contracting Parties will be podporovati cooperation between the recognised organisations
the youth of their countries.
Article 12
It will also be compounded by the mutual cultural and intellectual exchange between
the two countries, organizing concerts, dramatic performances, lectures,
artistic and scientific exhibitions, distribution of books and magazines, as well as
film and radio.
Article 13
The Contracting Parties will be to counsel for the protection and development of its common
cultural interests abroad.
Article 14
This agreement becomes effective on the date of signature and shall be ratified what
soon as possible. The instruments of ratification shall be exchanged at Brussels. Remains in the
force for a period of five years and will not be a vypověděna six months before the
expiry of that period, its validity is extended always on new five-year
period.
This agreement was concluded in Prague on 6. March 1947.

to the agreement concerning cultural relations between the Republic of Czechoslovakia and
Kingdom Of The Belgian.
At the signing of the agreement on the cultural relations between the Government of the Republic
The Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and Czechoslovakia agree both Governments
its authorised representative of which was for the Government of the Republic of
Mr. JAN MASARYK, Czechoslovak Minister of Foreign Affairs, and for the Government of
The Kingdom of Belgium his Excellency Mr PAUL-HENRI SPAAK, Minister of
of Foreign Affairs, on the final Protocol, annexed to the above-mentioned

Article 1
Both parties undertake to mutually podporovati relations
between journalists and reporters (film, radio and fotoreportéry), and
they facilitate the exercise of their profession, any advantage in General

Article 2
