on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government
The Hellenic Republic on cooperation in the field of health

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Hellenic Republic
cooperation in the field of health care. Agreement entered into force on
the basis of its article 6 day 14. March 1983.

The AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Greek
Republic on cooperation in the field of health
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Hellenic Republic,
Desiring to promote cooperation between their countries in the field
health care,
convinced that this cooperation will contribute to the improvement of the health status of
the population of the two countries and to the development of their relations and
in accordance with the final act of the Conference on security and cooperation in
Europe signed by 1 January 2004. August 1975 in Helsinki, Finland,
they agree on this:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall develop and expand the scope of their cooperation in the
health and medical sciences, and will promote mutual
the exchange of experience.
Article 2
The Contracting Parties will encourage this cooperation, in particular
via:
and Exchange) laws relating to health care, as well as
information and publications about the health problems and ways and
the methods used in their solution,
(b)) cooperation between scientific research institutes, medical

issues of mutual interest,
(c)), participation of citizens of one country in graduate studies and special
courses organised by the scientific and educational establishments of the other country,
(d) participation of experts) of one country at medical Congresses, conferences,
international or bilateral seminars and symposia organised by the

Article 3
The Contracting Parties will alleviate the reciprocal exchange of scientists, research
workers, as well as other medical and health experts.
Article 4
Each party will provide to the citizens free of charge, to the other Contracting
party ambulant treatment and first aid for injuries and sudden
cases when direct medical intervention is inevitable and the prompt,
as well as the inevitable healing when compulsorily reported communicable diseases with
the exception of tuberculosis and venereal diseases.
Article 5
1. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this agreement will be established by the joint
Czechoslovakia-Greek Committee. This Committee shall meet every three years
alternately in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Hellenic Republic under the
the purpose of drawing up detailed plans for cooperation and the assessment of their
the performance. These plans will also specify the financial and
organisational provisions required for the execution of this agreement.
2. Notice concerning the cooperation referred to in this agreement will be
carried out through diplomatic channels.
Article 6
This agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the constitutional rules of the Contracting Parties
and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.
This agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years and its validity will be silently
extended by another 5 years, if one of the Contracting Parties
notice in writing six months before the expiry date.
