The Ministry of industry and trade
of 6 May 1999. September 2000,
which lays down certain procedures for the type-approval and verification
set the measuring instruments covered by the EEC

The Ministry of industry and trade shall determine in accordance with section 27 of Act No. 506/1990
Coll. on metrology, as amended by Act No. 121/2000 Coll. (hereinafter the "Act")
for the implementation of § 6 (1). 2 and § 9 para. 1 of the Act:
§ 1
This Decree ^ 1) incorporates the relevant provisions of the European
^ 1a) community and lays down the procedures for the
type approval of measuring instruments) in cases where the requirements on them
established a special legal regulation, ^ 1b) (hereinafter referred to as "EEC approval

(b) verification of measuring instruments) in cases where the requirements laid down
special legislation, ^ 1b) (hereinafter referred to as the "initial verification").

§ 2
(1) EEC type-approval shall be carried out as a rule in respect of a request

§ 3

§ 5

EEC TYPE-APPROVAL
1.
THE APPLICATION FOR EEC TYPE-APPROVAL
1.1. the application for EEC type-approval and the documents that are related to it,
submitted by the manufacturer for the Czech metrological Institute (hereinafter referred to as
"The Institute").

1.2. the application shall contain the following information:
-the name and address of the manufacturer or the firm, or of their authorized representative
or of the applicant,
-the appliance category,
-the intended use,
-the metrological characteristics,
-trade name, if any, or type.
1.3. The application shall be supplemented with the additional documents that are necessary for the
the evaluation, which shall be accompanied by two copies:
1.3.1 Description:
-the construction and operation of the meter,
-the protective arrangement, ensuring proper operation,
-equipment for control and settings
-the planned location for:
-verification marks,
-seals (where applicable).
1.3.2. General arrangement Drawings and, where necessary, detailed drawings

1.3.3. A schematic drawing illustrating the principles of operation and, where
necessary, photograph.
1.4. The application shall be accompanied by, as appropriate, the documents that are
relate to prior approval.
2.
EXAMINATION FOR EEC TYPE-APPROVAL
2.1 Examination includes:
2.1.1. Study of the documents and an examination of the metrological characteristics of the

3.
CERTIFICATE AND THE EEC TYPE-APPROVAL
3.1 the EEC type-approval Certificate shows the results of the examination of the
type and specifies additional requirements that must be met. This

4.

5.

THE INITIAL EEC VERIFICATION
1.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1 Initial EEC verification may be carried out in one or more stages
(mostly in two).
