GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 9 June. December 2002,
laying down technical requirements for simple pressure vessels
Government orders under section 22 of Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical
requirements for products and amending and supplementing certain acts, as amended by
Act No. 71/2000 Coll. and Act No. 204/2002 Coll. (hereinafter the "Act") to
the implementation of § 11 (1) 2, section 11a. 2 (a). (c)), § 12 para. 1 and 3 and section 13
paragraph. 2 of the Act:
§ 1
Basic provisions
(1) the provisions of this regulation are in accordance with the law of the European Communities ^ 1)
laying down technical requirements for simple pressure vessels.
(2) for the purposes of this regulation, (a simple pressure vessel
"the vessel") considers any welded vessel subject to internal pressure
greater than 0.5 bar, intended to contain air or nitrogen and which is not
exposed to the flame and whose parts and assemblies having an effect

§ 2
Placing of containers on the market and putting into service
(1) containers can be placed on the market and put into service only if they
they do not compromise with proper installation and maintenance, and the use of the intended purpose
the safety of persons, domestic animals or property.

technical requirements referred to in annex 1 to this Regulation (hereinafter referred to as
"essential requirements").

manufactured in accordance with good engineering practice of a Member
State of the European Union and must be marked as indicated in item 1
Annex 2 to this regulation, with the exception of the CE marking.
(4) the essential requirements shall be considered satisfied if the containers are in
conformity with the safety requirements of harmonised Czech technical
standards, where applicable, foreign technical standards transposing in
the Member States of the European Union harmonised European standards (Section 4a
of the Act).
§ 3
The conformity assessment procedures
(1) the manufacturer or his authorised representative ensures the conformity of the
containers (section 12, paragraph 4, of the Act) for which the product of PS. In the more than 50 bar. L,

§ 4
EC type-examination
(1) the EC type-examination is the procedure by which a notified body
ascertains and certifies that a prototype vessel satisfies the provisions of this
regulations that apply to it.
(2) the application for EC type-examination for the prototype vessel or of a prototype
representing the Group of vessels submitted by the manufacturer or his authorised

§ 5
EC verification

§ 6
EC surveillance

§ 7
Supervision

§ 8
The CE marking and other labelling

§ 9

§ 10

Transitional and final provisions
§ 11
(1) valid certificates or other documents issued on the basis of regulation
No 175/1997 Coll., as amended by Decree-Law No 80/1999 Coll. and

conformity in accordance with this regulation, unless they are cancelled under the conditions
laid down by law.
(2) the person responsible for the activities of conformity assessment pursuant to Regulation
No 175/1997 Coll., as amended by Decree-Law No 80/1999 Coll. and
the Government Decree No 285/2000 Coll., shall be considered as persons responsible for the

§ 12
Shall be repealed:
1. Government Regulation No. 173/1997 Coll., laying down technical

THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS
1.
Materials
Materials must be selected according to the intended purpose of the use of containers and
accordance with point 1.1. up to 1.4.
1.1. Pressurized parts

Welds must be executed by qualified welders, or workers with
the appropriate device for the chosen method of welding. The approval and
qualifying tests must be conducted by persons notified.
During manufacture, it must also be ensured a permanent quality of the welds of the implementation

Design and manufacturing documentation must include a description of the methods and established
working procedures so as to meet the requirements of annex 1 to the
This regulation or technical standards according to § 2 (2). 4, in particular:

(b)) descriptions and explanations to the design and manufacturing background,

THE CONDITIONS OF THE AUTHORIZATION
1. the notified body, its Director and the employee responsible for the
