§ 1
Subject Matter


This Regulation lays kinds of awards in the field of culture, awarded
Ministry of Culture (hereinafter the "Ministry") and the conditions for granting
.

§ 2
Types of awards


Ministry may grant the following awards:

) State Prize for Literature,

B) State Prize for translation work,

C) Ministry of Culture Prize for his contribution in the field of theater, music, visual arts and
architecture

D) Award of the Ministry of Culture for Achievement in Cinematography and
audiovisual,

E) Award of the Ministry of Culture for heritage preservation,

F) Ministry of Culture Prize for his contribution to the development of Czech culture,

G) of the Ministry of Culture Prize in the fields of artistic activities,

H) award Library of the Year,

I) the prize for the best Czech book of the year,

J) Award Gloria musaealis,

K) Ministry of Culture Award - Designer of the Year

L) Ministry of Culture Award at the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno

M) Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film award Visegrad,

N) the title "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts"

O) Artis Bohemiae Amicis medal.

P) Patron of Czech culture

Q) Knight / Lady of Czech culture.

State Prize for Literature

§ 3

(1) The State Award for Literature is awarded to awarded to the original literary work
^ 1) Czech literature issued in the form of printed
non-periodical publications in the Czech language in the awards or
previous year. State Prize for Literature can be exercised by the
evaluation of literary work.

(2) State Prize for Literature is awarded to the author.

(3) State Prize for Literature may be granted annually on October 28. In
calendar year may be awarded only one
State Prize for Literature.

(4) State Prize for Literature consists of a diploma and a cash award in the amount of CZK 300 000
.

§ 4

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 3, may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 May, the awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 3 shall be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and place of residence or domicile, if
was granted permanent residence (hereinafter "place of residence '), the author
proposed for the awards and the justification of the proposal.

State Prize for translation work

§ 5

(1) State Prize for translation work is given to the evaluation of translation of literary works
^ 1) from a foreign language into the Czech language, issued in
awarding prizes or in the previous year, taking into account existing || | author's translation activity in the field of literary translation.
State prize for translation work can also be awarded for the current
of the author in the field of literary translation.

(2) State Prize for translation work is awarded to the author.

(3) State Prize for translation work may be granted annually on 28 October
. In calendar year may be awarded only one
State Prize for translation work.

(4) State Prize for translation work consists of a diploma and a cash award
of 300 000 CZK.

§ 6

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 5 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 May, the awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 5 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and place of residence of the author
proposed for the awards and the justification of the proposal.

Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music, visual arts and

architecture
§ 7

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music, visual arts and
Architecture are awarded for outstanding
creative or interpretative work or for long-term
artistic merit in the field of theater, music and arts and

Architecture.

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music, visual arts and
Architecture are awarded in fields

A) theater,

B) a musical

C) fine,

D) architecture.

(3) The Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music
art and architecture confers natural person or legal entity
.

(4) The Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music
art and architecture can be granted annually on October 28. In
calendar year may be awarded in each branch under paragraph 2
one Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music and
art and architecture.

(5) The Ministry of Culture Award for Achievement in the field of theater, music, visual arts and
architecture consists of a diploma and a cash award in the amount of CZK 300 000
.

§ 8

(1) Nominations for the awards pursuant to § 7 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 May, the awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 7 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual or
business name or name and registered office, designed to || | the awards, marking the appropriate field under § 7 para. 2 and
justification of the proposal.

Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to cinema and audiovisual


§ 8a

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to cinema and audiovisual
is given to evaluate extremely significant results or
outstanding creative, technical or interpretive
achievements in the process of creation, production, dissemination and preservation
cinematographic and audiovisual děl1a), or for research or promotion activities in the area
cinema and audiovisual industry or long-term achievements in the field of cinema and audiovisual
.

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to cinema and audiovisual
is awarded to an individual or entity;
natural person, it can also be granted posthumously.

(3) The Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to cinema and audiovisual
normally be granted annually to 27 October.
In calendar year may be granted a maximum of two awards of the Ministry of Culture for his contribution in the field
cinema and audiovisual, only one of which may be awarded
living natural person or legal entity.

(4) The Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to cinema and audiovisual
consists of a diploma and a cash award of 300 000 CZK. In the case

§ 8b

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 8a may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 May, the awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 8 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual or
business name or name and registered office, designed to || | the awards, and the justification of the proposal. In the case of a proposal to grant
award posthumously proposal must include the name and surname of person
designed for the awards, and the reasoning behind the proposal
name and surname of the natural person who could take over the awards.

Ministry of Culture Award for heritage preservation

§ 9

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award for heritage preservation is given to the evaluation
extremely important results or creative endeavor
achievements in the protection, exploration, preservation and presentation
cultural monuments, urban areas, conservation areas or
archaeological finds.

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award for heritage preservation is given
natural person; it can also be granted posthumously.

(3) The Ministry of Culture Award for heritage preservation can be granted annually

calendar year may be awarded a maximum of two awards

(4) The Ministry of Culture Award for architectural preservation consists of a diploma, a plaque embossed

§ 10

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 9 may be made by the Scientific Council for
state monument care, specialized organization of state monument care or

Civic associations, which according to its statutes, carry out activities at
protection of cultural monuments, urban areas, conservation areas or
archaeological finds, by 15 February of the year the awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 9 shall be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual
designed for the awards and the justification of the proposal. In the case of a proposal to
the awards posthumously the proposal must include the name and surname
individuals proposed for the awards, and the reasoning behind the proposal
name and surname of the natural person who could take over the awards.

Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to the development of Czech culture

§ 11

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to the development of Czech culture
grants to evaluate the merits of sustainable development of culture in municipalities, counties
in the Czech Republic for the operation of cultural services for the public or for
contribution to the Czech Republic's involvement in international
cultural programs.

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award for contribution to the development of Czech culture
granted to a natural person or legal entity.

(3) The Ministry of Culture Prize for his contribution to the development of Czech culture
be granted annually. In calendar year may be granted a maximum of five prizes
Ministry of Culture for his contribution to the development of Czech culture.

(4) The Ministry of Culture Prize for his contribution to the development of Czech culture
consists of a diploma and a cash award in the amount of CZK 100 000.

§ 12

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 11 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 December of the year preceding the year of award
awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 11 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual or
business name or name and registered office, designed to || | the awards, and the justification of the proposal.

Ministry of Culture Prize in the fields of artistic activities

§ 13

(1) The Ministry of Culture in fields of artistic activities is granted
to evaluate long-term effects in various fields
artistic activities, or for creating outstanding
artwork in these fields.

(2) The Ministry of Culture in fields of artistic activities is granted in fields


A) theatrical and literary activities

B) traditional folk culture and folklore,

C) musical activities

D) audiovisual and artistic activities

E) dance activities,

F) children's art activities.

(3) The Ministry of Culture in fields of artistic activities is awarded
natural person or legal entity.

(4) Award of the Ministry of Culture in fields of artistic activities
be granted annually on the occasion of national
shows or festivals. In calendar year may be awarded in each field by
paragraph 2, only one Ministry of Culture in fields of interest
artistic activities.

(5) Award of the Ministry of Culture in fields of artistic activities
consists of a diploma and a cash award of 50 000 CZK.

§ 14

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 13 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 December of the year preceding the year of award
awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 13 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual or
business name or name and registered office, designed to || | the awards, marking the respective field according to § 13 paragraph. 2 and
justification of the proposal.

Library of the year

§ 15

(1) Price Library of the Year is awarded to evaluate the long-term merits of
development of librarianship in communities or outstanding contribution to the development
public library and information services.

(2) The library of the year is awarded in the categories

A) basic library ^ 2)

B) a significant achievement in the provision of public library and information services
.

(3) The library of the year pursuant to paragraph 2. a) confers
operator of a library, which is registered in the library system. ^ 3) Price
library in accordance with paragraph 2. b) confers an individual or library
operators under the previous sentence.

(4) The award Library of the Year may be given annually in October on the occasion

Library Week. In calendar year may be granted a maximum of five prizes
Library of the Year categories under paragraph 2

(5) The prize consists of a diploma Library for all awards granted
categories in accordance with paragraph 2, and cash awards in the amount of CZK 70 000
for a maximum of one prize in each category pursuant to paragraph 2

§ 16

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 15 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until August 5th year of the awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 15 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and place of residence of the operator
library designed for the awards, in the case of a natural person, or || | company name or the name and address of the operator of the library designed to
the awards, in the case of a legal entity, marking the appropriate category
according to § 15 para. 2 and rationale of the proposal. Furthermore, in case of filing
proposal to grant awards according to § 15 par. 2 point. b) The proposal must
contain the name and surname and permanent residence of the individual
designed for the awards.

Price for the best Czech book of the year

§ 17

(1) Prize for the best Czech book of the year was awarded to value non-periodical publications
^ 4) as a technical product and functional
subject that has not been in the graphic and artistic form
released.

(2) Prize for the best Czech book of the year is awarded based on the results of the tender
^ 5) organized annually by the Ministry
together with the Museum of Czech Literature through the press and the
information system with remote access. ^ 6)

(3) Prize for the best Czech book of the year is awarded in the categories

A) literature,

B) fiction,

C) literature for children and youth,

D) textbooks for schools of all levels and other teaching aids

E) books on fine art

F) catalogs

G) bibliophile and author books.

(4) Prize for the best Czech book of the year is awarded
legal entity based in the Czech Republic and Czech citizens who are non-periodical publications
issuer under paragraph 1 (hereinafter
"publisher") for placement of non-periodical publications in the first place
in one of the categories under paragraph 3

(5) Award for the best Czech book of the year may be granted annually on 23 April
who is the World Day of Book and Copyright.
In calendar year may be awarded in each category referred to in paragraph 3, only one
Price for the best Czech book of the year.

(6) Award for the best Czech book of the year consists of a diploma and a cash award
of 50 000 CZK.

§ 18

(1) The public tender according to § 17 para. 2, natural or legal persons
sign non-periodical publications in accordance with § 17 para. 1, which have been or will be
publisher issued from 1 January to 31 December
year preceding the awards under § 17th

(2) The deadline for applications to tender pursuant to § 17 para. 2
Youth and Sports and the National Literary
separately for each year.

(3) Application to the tender pursuant to § 17 para. 2 serves
vyhlašovatelům in writing for each non-periodic publication
according to § 17 para. 1 separately and contains the name of non-periodical publications, the name
surname and permanent residence of the publisher logged into a public
competition, if a natural person or business name or name and seat
publisher logged in the tender, in the case of a legal person
, designation by category § 17 para. 3, explanation of the proposal, a copy
proof of payment of an entry fee of CZK 500 per
application and attachments according to competition rules.

(4) The Minister of Culture (hereinafter referred to as the "Minister") decides on the awards
according to § 17 based on the recommendations of the Commission appointed by the Promoter.

(5) Details during the public competition under § 17 para. 2 and
composition of the committee, the method of its work and other requirements shall
competition regulations and rules of procedure issued by the Ministry.

Price Gloria musaealis

§ 19

(1) Price Gloria musaealis is awarded to rate the importance of using
museum collections registered in the Central Register of Collections ^ 7) (hereinafter referred
"collection") for educational activities and the importance of collecting
Business museums and galleries for the preservation of movable cultural heritage.


(2) Price Gloria musaealis is awarded on the basis of public competition
^ 5) organized annually by the Ministry together with the Association of Museums and Galleries
Czech Republic and the Czech Committee of the International Council of Museums
through the press and information system with remote access. ^ 6)

(3) Price Gloria musaealis is awarded in the categories

A) museum show of the year,

B) of museum publications,

C) museum event of the year.

(4) Price Gloria musaealis is awarded to an individual or legal entity
who own collections (hereinafter "collection owner")
after finishing first in one of the categories under paragraph 3. It
if the owner of the collection Czech Republic or local government unit, is awarded
Price Gloria musaealis organizational unit or contributory organization
state or a local government body that manages the collection
.

(5) Award Gloria musaealis be granted annually on 18 May, which is International Day
museums. In calendar year may be awarded in each category
pursuant to paragraph 2, only one price Gloria musaealis.

(6) Award Gloria musaealis consists of a diploma, a sculpture and a cash award of
70 000 CZK.

§ 20

(1) The public tender according to § 19 para. 2 can log
owner of the collection, which since January 1 of the year preceding the awards
according to § 19 to 28 February for the first time in the awards made available | || public exhibition uses a collection, and for at least one month,
issued a non-periodic publication, including publication issued
electronic media, drawing from the collection thematically or scientific activities

(2) The submission deadline in the tender pursuant to § 19 para. 2
lasts from January 1 of the year preceding the awards pursuant to § 19 to 28 February

(3) Application to the tender pursuant to § 19 para. 2 serves

application and attachments according to competition rules. Furthermore, in case of filing of the application
into categories according to § 19 par. 3 point. a) date and place
venue, if filing into categories according to § 19 paragraph
. 3 point. b) the date of issue of non-periodical publications, in the event of an application
into categories according to § 19 par. 3 point. c) the date from which can be subject
contest judge. Log-in accordance with paragraph 1 to the public
competition organizational unit or contributory organizations of state or
territorial government, which manages the collection, in the application form
forth the name, address and details of the founder.

(4) The Minister decides on the awards pursuant to § 19
based on the recommendations of the Commission appointed by the Promoter.

(5) Details of the competition during the public pursuant to § 19 paragraph. 2 and composition
Commission, the method of its work and other requirements shall

Ministry of Culture Award - Designer of the Year

§ 20a

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award - Designer of the Year is awarded to rate
extraordinary artwork ^ 1) in the field of product design, industrial design, including

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award - Designer of the Year is awarded within
annual awards Czech Grand Design announced annually

(3) The Ministry of Culture Award - Designer of the Year is awarded to the author.

(5) The Ministry of Culture Award - Designer of the Year consists of a diploma and a cash award
70 000 CZK.

§ 20b

(1) evaluating body annual awards Czech Grand Design

Ministry of Culture Award at the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno

§ 21

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award at the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno
grants to evaluate the artwork ^ 1) in the field of graphic design.

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award at the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno
awarded in the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno
announced every second year on the basis of a decision of the Ministry of the Moravian Gallery in Brno
as the main organizer of the press and the
information system with remote access. ^ 6)

(3) The Ministry of Culture Award at the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno
awarded to the author.

(4) The Ministry of Culture Award at the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno
be granted in the year of the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno, usually on the day of its launch

§ 22

(1) The Biennial of Graphic Design Brno author can log their work of art

(2) The deadline for applications for the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno
sets the main organizer separately for each year.

(3) Registration for the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno serves

(4) for the selection of submissions that will be included in the Biennial of Graphic Design Brno

Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film award Visegrad

§ 23

(1) The Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film award from the Visegrad countries with
grants to evaluate audiovisual work-1a) for children and youth national
cinema Czech Republic, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Poland and the Slovak Republic
(hereinafter the "Visegrad group").

(2) The Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film award from the Visegrad countries are
awarded in the International Festival of Films for Children and Youth in Zlin
announced annually through
main organizer of the press and information system with remote access . ^ 6)

(3) The Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film award from the Visegrad countries are awarded
natural person or legal entity.

(4) The Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film Prize Visegrad
be granted annually, usually at the conclusion of the International Film Festival
for Children and Youth in Zlín. Always be awarded only one prize of the Minister of Culture
- cost feature film from the Visegrad countries.

(5) The Ministry of Culture Award - Feature Film Prize Visegrad forms

§ 24

(1) The International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlin
for the awards in accordance with § 23 of the Visegrad Group countries can sign their

15 March of the awards,
when such works are in accordance with the conditions laid down by statute
International Film Festival for children and youth in Zlín.

(2) The submission deadline for the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín
ending March 15 of the year the awards according to § 23.

(3) Registration for the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlin
serves the main organizer in writing and contain the name of the work,
year and country of manufacture, name and place of residence of the author || | submitted work and supplements the statute of the international film festival
for children and youth in Zlín.

(4) International Jury for Feature Films From Visegrad Countries
International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlin
appointed principal organizer will select the winning work, which recommends to the Minister to grant
valuation according to § 23 || |
(5) Details during the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlin
and composition of the international jury for Visegrad feature film,
way of her work and other requirements stipulated in the Statute
International Film Festival for Children and youth in Zlín issued by the main organizer.

The title "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts"

§ 25

(1) The title "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts" is awarded to rate
skills, knowledge, practices and technologies of traditional folk crafts
and effort in their conservation, presentation and transmission to the public
future generations.

(2) The title "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts" is awarded to citizens of the Czech Republic
if operates some of the traditional folk crafts.

(3) The title "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts" can be granted annually
usually on the occasion of European Heritage Days. In calendar year
can be awarded a maximum of five titles, "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts".

(4) The title "Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts" consists of a diploma and a cash award
of 50 000 CZK.

§ 26

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 25 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 December of the year preceding the year of award
awards.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 25 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual
designed for the awards and the justification of the proposal.

Artis Bohemiae Amicis medal

§ 27

(1) Artis Bohemiae Amicis medal is awarded for spreading the good name of Czech culture
.

(2) Artis Bohemiae Amicis medal is awarded to an individual or legal entity
; natural person, it can also be granted posthumously.

(3) Artis Bohemiae Amicis medal may be awarded annually to rule on 28 October
. In calendar year may be granted up to twenty medals Artis
Bohemiae amicis.

(4) The award consists of a diploma and a medal, including a metal casket.

§ 28

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 27 may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 30 June of the awards.
This deadline does not apply if the awards to date other than October 28
calendar year. Awards may be granted even without a petition.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 27 must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual or
business name or name and registered office, designed to || | the awards, and the justification of the proposal. In the case of a proposal to grant
award posthumously proposal must contain the name, surname and date of death
individuals proposed for the awards, the justification of the proposal and the name
surname and permanent residence of the individual, which could awards
take.

(3) About the awards in accordance with § 27 decided by the Minister.

Patron of Czech culture

§ 28a

(1) Awards Patron of Czech culture is awarded for promoting Czech culture.

(2) Awards Patron of Czech culture is awarded to an individual or legal entity
; natural person, it can also be granted posthumously.

(3) Awards Patron of Czech culture generally be granted annually on 27 February
. In calendar year may be granted a maximum of ten medals

(4) The award consists of a diploma and a medal, including a metal casket.

§ 28b

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 28a may be submitted by a natural or

Legal entity, until 31 December of the year preceding the year of award
awards. Awards may be granted even without a petition.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 28a must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual or
business name or name and registered office, designed to || | the awards, and the justification of the proposal. In the case of a proposal to grant
award posthumously proposal must contain the name, surname and date of death
individuals proposed for the awards, the justification of the proposal and the name
surname and permanent residence of the individual, which could awards
take.

(3) About the awards under § 28a decided by the Minister.

Knight / Lady of Czech culture

§ 28c

(1) Awards Knight / Lady of Czech culture is given for contribution to the development
cultural, spiritual and ethical values.

(2) Awards Knight / Lady of Czech culture is awarded to an individual; it can also
granted posthumously.

(3) Awards Knight / Lady of Czech culture may be awarded annually to a rule
27th February. In calendar year may be granted a maximum of ten medals
Knight / Lady of Czech culture.

(4) The award consists of a diploma and a medal, including a metal casket.

§ 28d

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 28c may be submitted by a natural or legal person
, until 31 December of the year preceding the year of award
awards. Awards may be granted even without a petition.

(2) Proposal for granting awards under § 28c must be submitted in writing and must contain
name, surname and permanent residence of the individual
designed for the awards and the justification of the proposal. In the case of a proposal to
the awards posthumously proposal must contain the name, surname and date of death
individuals proposed for the awards, reasoning
design and name, surname and permanent residence of the natural person who
Awards could assume.

(1) Nominations for the awards under § 4 para. 1, § 6 para. 1, § 8.
1, § 8b paragraph. 1, § 10 paragraph. 1, § 12 para. 1, § 14 para. 1, § 16 para.
1, § 26 par. 1, § 28 para. 1, § 28b paragraph. 1 and § 28d paragraph. 1
submitted to the Ministry.

(2) The Minister decides on the awards under § 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13,
15, 25, 28a and 28c on the recommendations of his appointed advisory bodies
.

(3) Composition of advisory bodies referred to in paragraph 2, the way they work and other requirements shall
rules of procedure issued by the Ministry.

(4) In the case that is the subject of the valuation result of the actions more persons
granted to such persons together one award.

§ 30
Efficiency


This regulation comes into force on 1 April 2003.
