Basic biological testing of feed

First Biological testing

01.01 The methods of making

1.1.1. Biological testing is a set of at least five parallel repeated comparative
group of three or periodicko- group
comparative trials. Attempts are arranged so as to eliminate the effects of all factors on
response monitoring except for the factor itself.

1.1.2. Group comparative experiment is carried out with two or more
groups of animals.

1.1.3. Periodic-group comparative experiment is carried out with two
groups of animals, with test feed alternating in groups so that each group
animals was always at least once as a control and
once as experimental.

1.1.4. Repeating group and periodic-group comparative
trials, except for biological testing on fish and laying hens, with
placed in multiple locations, but at least three.

1.2 Provision feed

Flour mixture and ration for the control and experimental groups of animals
differ only in the test feed.

All feeds, including all the feed materials, feed additives and premixes
, with pre-verified analytically.

03.01 Selection of animals

1.3.1. The minimum number of animals in each group group
comparative experiment:

- In piglets - 20 pieces

- In cattle, pigs, sheep - 10 pieces

- In poultry - breeding, fattening - 100 pieces,

- For breeding hens, geese, ducks, turkeys - 25 pieces

- Commercial laying hens - 60 pieces,

- Rabbits - 40 pieces,

- For fish fry - 1000 pcs, fattening - 200 pieces, broodstock - 50 pcs.

1.3.2. The desired sex ratio in the control and experimental groups,
unless otherwise stated, are always identical.

1.3.3. Animals in the control and experimental groups are the same herd
nationality or type of crossing, balanced age and bodyweight,
in good health and fitness. Piglets and pigs dewormed.
Placing animals in group comparative test runs
once except sows, where the possibility of phased selection.

1.3.4. Animals selected into control and experimental groups are referred
individually.

1.3.5. Performs statistical sanity check of live weight during
choice. The maximum value of the variation coefficient of live weight
which is calculated as the standard deviation to the average
expressed in percentages are as follows:

- Rearing and fattening calves and rabbits for fattening - 15

- Rearing and fattening of cattle - 8

- Lambs, piglets, pigs - 10

- In other animals is not verified.

Further statistically validates the insignificance of the difference in average living
weight or quantity of milk (kg FCM) between groups.

1.3.6. The trials on dairy cows, dairy cows are selected for the second and more
lactation, with balanced milk yield in the previous lactation, with balanced
live weight and pedigree. For group
comparative trials with dairy division into groups by using
analogous pairs so that the classification into pairs met the main criteria
equilibrium, ie. Milk yield and time after calving.

1.3.7. Group comparative experiments sows are carried out in
analogous pairs and evaluated as a group. In pairs are represented
sows at 2 to 4 litter with a balanced yielding in
previous litter, mated same pedigree sires.

04.01 Workplaces and stalling

1.4.1. Animal control and experimental groups are placed in one
stable space, in the same microclimate and technological
conditions.

1.4.2. Workplaces and stalling, also housing conditions, especially
space, humidity, concentration of undesirable factors (ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, etc.
.) Area on one piece, comply with the valid standards and
zoohygienickým requirements for a certain type and category animals.

1.4.3. Continuously monitors and records the temperature, moisture content
ammonia and hydrogen sulfide content in the stable space.

05.01 Feeding technique

1.5.1. Testing of feed are fed according to the proposed feeding instructions.

1.5.2. If not feeding instructions submitted, fed by the feed instructions for feed
similar composition and effect characteristics.

01.06 Monitored indicators

The observed indicators of biological testing are hot properties
animals, particularly live weight gain, milk production, egg consumption
feed and other nutrients. Furthermore monitor the response of the animals served to feed
feed intake, animal health. If required by the nature
test feed, following the metabolic profile of animals
inspects the content of contaminants in animal products
biological fluids, tissues and faeces.

1.6.1. Live weight is determined by weighing the scales on which you can
consider the type and category of animals with the required minimum accuracy:

- For fish fry 1 g

- For fish and poultry 10g,

- For piglets 0.1 kg,

- For the other category 1 kg.

Dear is always done in the same time period, prior to submitting
feed weight value is directly introduced into the primary records of
attempt.

Average daily liveweight gain of one piece
is calculated from the difference in weight for a given period by dividing the number of days in the period.

1.6.2. For biological testing are discarded and only animals
sick and stunted. If the common serious disease in animals or
drops when in group comparative experiment for any reason, the number of animals
below 70% of their original state, the attempt is not evaluated. If there was a
exclusion of more than 20% of group comparative trials, biological
Testing, can not be assessed.

1.6.3. Weight milked milk is determined by weighing the individual
evening and morning milk yield in each respective reporting periods.

At each weighing milk are individual sampling
according to Annex no. 15 point 2.1. this decree.

1.6.4. Egg laying is monitored once daily at the same time manually
collecting individually for each cage.

In each group is recorded:

- Individual by egg-laying cages

- The number of eggs laid per group

- Egg weight determined as a group,

- The number of discarded eggs including specifications due to decommissioning

- Average egg laying hen,

- Strength lay in%.

1.6.5. The food consumption is recorded separately for each group.
Of the total feed consumption for the group after deducting consumption
dead or discarded animals is calculated:

- The average total consumption of feed per 1 piece group for the period

- Average feed consumption per unit of production, ie. For 1 kg liveweight gain
, 1 kg FCM to 100 eggs, etc ..

07.01 Control of animal health

All clinical manifestations of animal health, especially drowsiness, impaired
feed intake, diarrhea, different behavior observed visually inspected, with
brought into initial evidence comparative test group and sub
report on this experiment.

Dead or necessarily odporažených animals require autopsy.
In justified cases where the cause of death apparently unrelated to the test
feed not need professional veterinary examination.

08.01 Evidence

1.8.1. Initial registration of all monitored indicators is the basis for processing
progress reports from each group comparative trial.

1.8.2. Results of partial reports are processed into comprehensive documentation
biological testing. Conclusive differences observed
summary results are verified statistically and the methods used.

Second Balance test

02.01 Balance test detects the digestibility of nutrients and energy
feed or feed effect on nutrient digestibility of the feed mixture and balance of nutrients.

02.02 Nutrient digestibility is determined as the balance of nutrients and energy
gastrointestinal tract, measured under standard conditions. Digestibility was
expressed in percent.

03.02 Minimum numbers of animals in balancing test in the proportion of test
feed at:

- Over 50% - 3 pieces analogous animals or groups of animals except
chickens

- 25-50%, in chickens from 25 - 100% - 6 analogous animals or groups of animals
,

- Below 25% - 8 pieces analogous animals or groups of animals.

04.02 Selection of animals is governed by the requirements of paragraph 1.3 of this Annex.

05.02 Animals are ustájují in a stable space. They are located either in the balance
cages or stalls in balance so as to allow precise dosing
feed detection of residues and lossless
collection of feces and urine. Climatic conditions correspond to physiological demands
animals.

06.02 When testing fodder as feed material in feed mixtures and
determines if its effect on nutrient digestibility of the feed mixture, used as a control
feed also feed mixture. Ration for a balance test
provide restorative need nutrients, minerals and vitamins
, the level of their content must not exceed 1.5 times the restorative
needs.

07.02 The feed ration for a balance test determined so that when fed
been minimal feed waste. They feed 2 times a day, a minimum interval between feedings
is 7 hours.

08.02 All feeds, including all the feed materials in advance
verified analytically.

09.02 The minimum total duration of the test is 5 days in monogastric animals and
least 7 days in ruminants. Immediately after placing
animals in cages or balance on the balance standing must take place
addictive period of the species by 7-14 days after initial
minimum period of 6 days. This period is not included in the evaluation
balancing test.

2.10 During the tests the balance between individual animals
accurately captures the income and food leftovers amount of feces and urine, for only the rams
feces. The collected urine preserves suitable preservative
or cools down, feces are either canned or frozen. Drying
faeces is done by lyophilization. If there is Freeze,
feces is not dried before determining nitrogen.

2.11 Control live weight animals are performed at the beginning and at the end

Balancing test, at the same time, prior to submitting to feed.

2.12 The records are kept for each balancing test separately.

2.13. Results balancing tests are processed into aggregate
documentation of the biological testing. Differences fixed rate
digestibility between the control and test feed, with
statistically verified. The methods of statistical verification shall be included in the dossier.

2.14. Of the balance tests are discarded animals, which were found
clinically apparent ill-health and, animals which were remnants feed
more than 5% dry matter, or where the digestibility coefficient
individual nutrient exceeds twice the standard deviation the average
other identified values of feed digestibility coefficients.

Third Feeding test

03.01 Feeding tests are carried out on the animal species and categories for which it is tested
feed is intended, at least three sub-group
comparative trials.

03.02 Feeding tests are always performed in two groups of animals
control and experimental. Ensuring feed is consistent with Section 1.2
this Annex.

comparative experiment with feeding trials:

- Chickens, goslings, ducks, turkeys - 25 pieces

- The adult poultry, rabbits, pigs, pigs, sheep, goats - 10 pieces

- Calves, other cattle, horses - 3 pieces.

Numbers of animals of other species are determined by analogy.

04.03 Do a comparison test group for feeding trials with animals
chosen according to the criteria set out in paragraphs 1.3.2. to 1.3.7., the ustájují
and fed by the principles set out in Section 1.4. and 1.5 this Annex.

05.03 The duration of the experiment group comparative feeding trials is at least
:

- Palatability test two weeks, including the preparatory period

- Income test three weeks,

- Test dietary properties of the feed 4 weeks

- In other feeding trials (eg. In the complaint, expired time etc.
usability.) Keep the feeding instructions
feed or by feeding instructions for feed similar composition and effect
characteristics.

06.03 During the test the palatability assesses the rate of uptake
feed for a period of time. Furthermore monitored live weight of the animals on
beginning and end of the test and the response of the animals to feed is administered. When
test feed intake was assessed income dynamics control and test
feed received in relation to the dry matter.

07.03 In tests dietary properties of the feed are evaluated:

- The weight of the animals at the beginning and end of the reporting period,

- Live weight gain during the reporting period

- Income and total feed consumption, response of animals to test feed

- Animal health pursued by visual examination,

- Veterinary examination necessarily odporažených and dead animals

- Possibly chemical microbiological examination of feces of animals.

08.03 For the evaluation of other feed test rules provided
