PART (D)

How to calculate the volume of ethanol

and the calculation of the volume of ethanol) in the (unit: m3 or

L = dm3) for weighing solution of ethanol and water shall be carried out according to the

formula:

IN = OUT. km

where is the volume of ethanol at 20 degrees C in litres

From the apparent weight of the solution of ethanol and water as recorded by weighing

on the air (unit: kg)

km is a conversion factor (unit: dm3/kg = L/kg), which is

calculated according to the formula:

10 1 1

km = deltaE.----. [1 + roa ( ----- - ---- )]

ro20 ro20 roZ

where deltaE is volume concentration of ethanol in solution of ethanol and water

(unit:% = 0.01)

ro20 is the density of solution at a temperature of 20 degrees C (unit: kg/m3)

ROA is the air density (unit: kg/m3, the value:

1.2 kg/m3)

Roz is the density of the weight (unit: kg/m3, the value:

8 000 kg/m3)

(b)) the calculation of volume of ethanol in (unit: m3 or

L = dm3) when measuring the volume of solution of ethanol and water volume meter

at temperatures from-20 ° c to + 40 ° c shall be carried out according to the

formula:

In = in 't. FB. kV

where is the volume of ethanol in litres

In 't is the apparent volume of the reading on the gauge of the volume at a temperature

measurement in t (unit: m3 or L = dm3

FB is the correction factor for the gauge of volume thermal expansion

(unit: 1)

kV is a conversion factor (unit: 1), which is calculated

According to the formula:

Delta ro

E t

kv = ------ . ----

100 ro

20

where delta is by volume of ethanol in solution of ethanol and water

E (unit:% = 0.01)

ro is the density of the solution of ethanol and water at temperature t (unit:

t kg/m3)

ro is the density of the solution of ethanol and water at a temperature of 20 ° C

20 (unit: kg/m3)

Note:

Values of the coefficients are calculated by the formulas are listed

in the official alcohol tables (part 3), issued by the

The Ministry of Agriculture of the CZECH REPUBLIC, Prague, 1995.
