on sanitary requirements for premises and operation of the facilities and establishments
for the upbringing and education of children and adolescents

The Ministry of health, in agreement with the Ministry of education, youth and
sports and the Ministry of labour and Social Affairs provides under section 108
paragraph. 2 Act No. 258/2000 Coll., on the protection of public health and amending
some related laws, as amended by Act No. 320/2002 Coll., Act
No. 274/2003 Coll. and Act No. 362/2003 Coll. (hereinafter the "Act") to
the implementation of § 7 para. 1 of the Act:
§ 1
Basic provisions
(1) this Decree lays down the health requirements for spatial conditions,
equipment, traffic, lighting, heating, climatic conditions,
water supply and cleaning of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools,
conservatories, colleges, elementary art schools and
language schools with the State language law the test ^ 1) and school
device ^ 1) included in the register of schools and school facilities with ^ 1)
except for the further training of teaching staff,
educational consultancy and school feeding, and
social educational activities and facilities for children in need
immediate assistance ^ 2) (hereinafter referred to as "education and training"). This
the Decree also applies to trade custody of a child up to 3 years
age in day mode and trades extracurricular education ^ 3),

(2) the requirements for the workplace of the on-the-job training of pupils of secondary schools,

agreement on the content, scope and conditions for the on-the-job training, provides
a special law ^ 4).
§ 2
Interpretation of the terms
For the purposes of this Decree:

Spatial conditions
§ 3
(1) the city land area for education and training and
establishments for the education and training designed for stay and game kids
preschool age, including lawns, must be at least 4 m 1
child. In establishments for children in need of immediate assistance and in school
devices for institutional or protective care must be
undeveloped land area designated for stay and play at least 4 m2 for children

(2) Land equipment for education and training and educational establishments
and education providing basic education must be available to

§ 4
(1) the spatial conditions and internal layout in facilities for the education and
education and establishments for training and education of preschool children
must be capable of teaching their children the free games, relaxation, personal hygiene

(2) in the areas of equipment for training and education, with the exception of schools in
nature and establishments for training and education ^ 6) must 1 pupil

(3) for students with disabilities must be in schools
taking an educational program for pupils with special educational

education and training must correspond to the nature of the activities

sanitation facilities, which provides a special law ^ 9). For more
the requirements for sanitary facilities and dressing rooms in facilities for the education and
education and in the premises of the educational and training are laid down in
Appendix No. 1 to this order and in a special legal Act ^ 7).
Section 4a
(1) equipment for education and training must be equipped with changing rooms, according to
requirements governed by special legislation ^ 8). For one student

§ 4b
In facilities for the upbringing and education and the premises for education and

§ 5

§ 6

§ 7

§ 8
Schools in nature

Accommodation
(1) For accommodation in homes, boarding schools, youth in
children in need of immediate assistance and school facilities for the performance of
institutional and protective care and preventative educational care (hereinafter referred to as

§ 11
Furniture and seating of the pupils

§ 14

§ 15

§ 17

must have a guaranteed supply of drinking water flowing under a special legal

Transitional and final provisions
§ 25
(1) the provisions of § 3 para. 1 and 2, § 5 para. 2, § 7, § 18 para. 2, the

The requirements for sanitary facilities and dressing rooms
1. the number of sanitation facilities in schools and educational establishments
shall be as follows:
