on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Republic and the Government of the Republic of Sri Lanka
On 1 May 2004. July 1975 in Colombo, the cultural agreement signed
cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government
The Republic of Sri Lanka, which according to its article II entered into force
on the date of signature.

The agreement
on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Republic and the Government of the Republic of Sri Lanka
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Sri
Lanka,
Desiring to facilitate and expand their cooperation in the field of
culture, education, science, the arts and health,
convinced that such cooperation will help strengthen effectively the
friendly relations between the peoples of both countries,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall encourage the development of cooperation in the field of culture,
education, science, health, the media and sport on the
the principles of mutual understanding and friendship and respecting the laws of other countries.
Article 2
The Contracting Parties shall encourage cooperation and the exchange of experience between
cultural, educational, scientific, artistic and social
organizations of the two countries, including exchanges of scientists, educational and pedagogical
workers, artists and workers in the field of culture and social
organizations.
Article 3
The Contracting Parties shall promote the marketing of music, theatre,
cinematographic works and exhibitions and publishing of translations of scientific and artistic works
the other country.
Article 4
The two parties will encourage the exchange of books, of cultural, scientific
and art magazines and movies between libraries and other institutions both
countries.
Article 5
The Contracting Parties shall provide to the citizens of the other State scholarships to
study at their schools, in scientific and cultural institutions.
Article 6
The parties studied the question of the recognition of diplomas and academic degrees,
and, if deemed necessary, to this end,
a special agreement.
Article 7
The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of film, radio,
television and the press.
Article 8
The Contracting Parties shall promote contacts between sports organisations and
athletes of the two countries and the organisation of sports events.
Article 9
The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the development of cooperation in the field of medicine,
Medical Sciences and health care.
Article 10
For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will negotiate for a specific time
period of implementation plans, or through diplomatic channels to agree on actions
they intend to hold in the future period.
Article 11
This agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature and shall remain in force,
unless one of the Contracting Parties in the annual notice in writing
denounces it.
Due in Colombo on 1 May 2004. July 1975 in duplicate in
