on the agreement on cultural and scientific cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak

Socialist Republic and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan



19 July. December 1981 in Kabul was signed the agreement on cultural and

scientific cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the

the Government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. Agreement entered into force on

pursuant to article 12 of the 16 October. March 1982. That date shall cease to

the validity of the Agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak

Socialist Republic and the Kingdom of Afghanistan, of 23 December. April

1961, proclaimed No 71/1962 Coll.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT



on cultural and scientific cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak

Socialist Republic and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic



and



the Government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan



Desiring to develop and consolidate brotherly relations between the Czechoslovak

Socialist Republic and the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan,

based on the principles of internationalism, expand cultural and scientific

relations between the two countries, develop friendship and strengthen the volumes

mutual understanding between the peoples of both countries, have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall strengthen and expand mutual cultural and

scientific cooperation based on the principles of sovereignty, equality,

and non-interference in the internal affairs of the other party and in accordance with the

the laws of both States.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall contribute to the development of cooperation in the field of culture,

Science, education, arts, literature and publishing of books, film, mass

the media, health care, physical education and sport. For this

to promote establishment and development of relations between the public authorities

and non-governmental organisations active in these areas.



Article 3



Each Contracting Party shall facilitate exploring the cultural heritage and

the current national culture of the people of the other State. For this purpose, the two

libraries, museums, publishers, archives and other cultural

workers.



Article 4



1. the Contracting Parties shall promote the exchange of scientific personnel,

representatives of scientific societies and other experts for the implementation of

scientific research, lectures and to meet with the activities of the scientific

equipment, as well as the exchange of publications and other scientific materials,

that will have a common interest.



2. The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the participation of experts of the other party

on the national or international scientific conferences and seminars,

which will be held on their national territory.



Article 5



1. The Contracting Parties shall develop cooperation in the field of education. For this

the purpose will be to promote:



and the exchange of information about their) educational systems and curriculum;



(b)) the exchange of school textbooks, educational and laboratory equipment;



(c)) the exchange of professors and other teachers on internships to increase their

professional qualifications, as well as their broadcasts to teach or lecture

activity;



(d) the provision of scholarships) for the proper and graduate

as well as the exchange of information about the offered courses and

the conditions of admission of students to the school.

Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall develop active cooperation in the field of printing,

radio and television. In order to promote the direct cooperation

among his print agencies, television, radio and

press releases and newsletters, as well as the exchange of information and

documentation of the political, economic and cultural life of their

States.



Article 7



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the development of cooperation in the area of film.

Article 8



The Contracting Parties shall develop in accordance with the specific agreement of cooperation

in the area of health care.



Article 9



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the development of contacts between the tělovýchovnými and

sports organisations of both countries.



Article 10



The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the development of direct contacts between trade unions and

youth organisations and women's organisations in both States.



Article 11



For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will always be for a certain period

Article 12



The agreement is subject to approval by the constitutional laws of both Contracting Parties,

and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.



Article 13



This agreement is concluded for a period of five years. Will be tacitly renewed always

for the next five-year period, until one or the other party

notice in writing at least six months before the expiry of the relevant period

its validity.



Article 14



The date on which this agreement enters into force, the agreement shall cease to

cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the
