on the agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government
The Hungarian people's Republic on cooperation in the field of plant protection

Republic on cooperation in the field of plant protection.
According to its article 15 of the Agreement entered into force on 9 July 2005. October 1970.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Hungary
's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of plant protection
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Hungarian people's
Republic, desiring to consolidate and to extend cooperation in the field of
protection of plants and thus contribute to the further rise of yields of agricultural
plants, as well as each other to protect the territory of the two States prior to the introduction of
quarantine pests, plant diseases and weeds, have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties undertake:
and) to perform on its territory necessary measures against quarantine pests,
plant diseases and weeds (hereinafter referred to as "pests of plants"), their list of
is given in the annex to this agreement;
(b)) apply all measures to ensure that the exported consignments of plants and
vegetable products (hereinafter referred to as "cargo") or in other ways

(c)) to comply with relevant legislation on export import State;

Article 2
The Contracting Parties take place all the necessary measures to protect its
State of the territory before the introduction of pests of plants from third States.
The transit of consignments is permitted if they are equipped with a certificate of
health and correspond to the legislation of the State whose

Article 3
The Contracting Parties undertake:

Article 4
The import, export and transit shipments will be carried out through border crossings,
specified by the competent authorities of the Contracting Parties.

Article 6

Article 7
The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties will inform each other:

Article 8
The Contracting Parties agree:

(b)) allow the experts of the other Contracting Parties a specialty in institutions and
establishments for the protection of plants;
(c)) to create, if necessary, in particular in the border areas

the coordination of activities in the implementation of plant protection.
Article 9
The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties shall, as appropriate, undertake
the joint meeting on the problems of protection of plants for the purpose of consultation and
solution of practical and scientific tasks, as well as the exchange of experience on

The meeting will be held alternately on the national territories of both Contracting Parties.
Time, place and agenda of these meetings will be determined by agreement between the
the competent authorities of the Contracting Parties.
Article 10
The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties may be in the implementation of this agreement in
direct contact and conclude the partial agreement for the purpose of carrying out the tasks and solutions
problems arising from this agreement.
Article 11
The provisions of articles 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of this Agreement shall also apply to the forest

measures to protect forests against pests of plants in border areas

Article 12
The costs associated with broadcasting experts referred to in Article 8a) and (b)) this agreement

The costs associated with the Organization of consultations in accordance with article 9 of the agreement shall be borne by the party

Other payments resulting from the application of this agreement, will be addressed in the
the framework of the financial agreement in force between the two Contracting Parties.
Article 13
The attached list of pests of plants is an integral part of this agreement.
The list may be supplemented or modified by the competent authorities of the Contracting
of the parties.
Add-ons or changes to the list shall be communicated to the other Contracting Party
through diplomatic channels, and shall become effective after the expiry of 30 days after the
delivery note on supplements or changes.
Article 14
The provisions of this Agreement shall not affect the rights and obligations arising from the
applicable agreements that the parties have concluded previously, or of their
membership in international organizations for the protection of plants.
Article 15
This agreement shall be in accordance with the constitutional rules of the Contracting Parties and shall enter into
valid on the day of exchange of notes about this approval.
The agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years and its validity will be extended
always on the next five-year period if one of the Contracting Parties
in writing notice of 6 months before the expiry of the period of its validity.
