The DECREE

on the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Republic of Panama and the Republic of
17 May. October 1977 in Panama was signed the agreement on cultural cooperation
between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Panama.
Agreement entered into force pursuant to its article 11 on the day 4. January 1978.
The Slovak version of the agreement shall be published at the same time. ^ ^ *)

The AGREEMENT
on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the
The Republic of Panama
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Panama
Desiring to develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of culture and
education.
Article 2
The Contracting Parties shall promote contacts between universities and scientific
institutions of the two countries and to facilitate the exchange of scientists and teachers
the lectures, studies and research from their scope.
Article 3
The Contracting Parties will provide scholarships to students, professionals,
engineers, scientists and artists of other countries in a way that will be determined in the
implementation plans for this agreement.
Article 4
The Contracting Parties undertake to examine the conditions of the mutual
validation of completed studies, consisting of tests and the
diplomas in the respective school facilities.
Article 5
The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation in cultural and educational
institutions and organizations of both parties.

The Contracting Parties shall encourage the
and) organizing exhibitions of cultural, technical and scientific nature of the

Article 7
Each of the Contracting Parties in accordance with their national

Article 8
The Contracting Parties shall, in accordance with their national legislation
support the importation of books, magazines and other cultural, scientific and

Article 9
The Contracting Parties to this Agreement shall ensure reciprocal protection of the

international treaties, in which both parties are bound.
Article 10
For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will negotiate on a three-year
the period of cultural cooperation plans and financial conditions of the cooperation.
Article 11
This agreement shall enter into force on the date on which the Contracting Parties in writing
reports that have been approved by their national rules and
will remain in force, unless one of the Contracting Parties denounces it,
the six-month notice period.

Slovak and Spanish languages, both texts being equally authentic.
