on the agreement between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of
Mali on scientific and technical cooperation
15 July. November 1960 in Prague was signed the agreement between the
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Mali on scientific and
technical cooperation. Exchange of notes both sides entered the agreement-by
its article 8, paragraph 1-in force on 1 January. March 1961.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement
between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Mali concerning the
Scientific and technical cooperation
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Mali,
Desiring to further strengthen friendly relations and promote economic ties
between the two countries and aiming for this purpose of the development of scientific and
technical cooperation between the two countries, have decided to conclude this agreement
and to this end have designated as their agents:

Vice-Chairman of the Government and the President of the State Planning Commission,
the Government of the Republic of Mali
Jean-Marie Koné, the Vice-President of the Government,

Article 1
Both Contracting Parties undertake to cooperate in the field of science and
techniques for mutual benefit and for the most efficient use of
the latest achievements of science and technology to the economic development of their
countries.
Article 2
Cooperation will be carried out in accordance with article 1 of this agreement, the

Article 3

Article 4

working conditions will be agreed between the relevant organisations of the two

Article 5
All persons carrying out their duties on the territory of the other Contracting Parties to the

established for the performance of their duties and shall refrain from any interference
in other matters.
Article 6
Each Contracting Party undertakes, in its territory shall provide a
nationals of the other Contracting Party with all the advantages needed to successfully
the implementation of tasks to carry out, on the basis of this agreement.
Article 7
Each Contracting Party undertakes that specific knowledge acquired on
under this agreement will not be disclosed to third parties without the consent of the other
the Contracting Parties.
Article 8
1. this agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the constitutional rules of each of the
the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.
2. each Contracting Party may terminate the agreement in writing one year
in advance.
3. In the case of termination of the agreement the Contracting Parties shall agree, within the
the notice period for termination of actions initiated on the basis of this agreement and the
settlement of obligations incurred.
