Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the June 22. November 1996
the Warsaw agreement signed between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Polish
Republic of border crossings, crossings at tourist paths
intersecting the State border and the crossing of national borders policy
outside the border crossings.
On the basis of article 12, paragraph 2(a). 2 of the agreement, the provisions of its articles 4, 5,
6, 8 and 9 provisionally carried out on the 30th day after the date of signature of the agreement and
Agreement entered into force pursuant to paragraph 1 of the same article on the day 2.
July 1997. Date of entry into force of the agreement, the validity of which expired in
relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Poland articles 3, 3a and
Annex No. 1 the arrangement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist
the Government of the Republic and the Polish people's Republic concerning cooperation in the performance of
control in the railway and road contact across national borders of 8 June.

The announcement of this agreement, (II) shall be abolished. part of the List of border customs
transitions on the State borders of the Czech Republic in the field of national borders
with the Republic of Poland, declared the communication of the Ministry of foreign
things no 59/1994 Coll.
The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.
The AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the border
crossings, crossings on the hiking trails crisscross the State

The Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Republic of Poland, hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting
the parties ",
-guided effort to contribute to the further development of friendly
relations,
-projevujíce wishes to expand cooperation in the field of international
trade, transport and the movement of persons,
-aiming to facilitate the crossing of frontiers in the tourist

-in pursuit of ensuring appropriate conditions for the transfer of persons, transport
resources and goods across national borders,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
1. The crossing of the State border between the Czech Republic and Poland

Article 2

Article 3
1. Each Contracting Party may suspend or restrict the operation of the

public policy, serious epidemiological reasons, according
a natural disaster, as well as serious threats to the environment,
caused by the operation of the crossing.
2. A Contracting Party which intends to suspend or restrict the operation of the
the border crossing, it shall notify its intention to the other party
not later than five days before the scheduled suspension or restriction
the border operation.
3. In urgent cases the notification, referred to in paragraph 1(b). 2,
made not later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled suspension or
traffic restrictions.
4. The suspension or restriction of use, in the context of the subject
reconstruction of objects at border crossings or communications,
the Contracting Parties shall inform each other no later than three months before the

the completion of such work.
Article 4
1. Cross the State border between the Czech Republic and Poland

Article 5

Article 6
1. Individuals crossing the State border at crossing points referred to in
Annex No. 3 to this agreement, are subject to border and customs control.

Article 7
1. the competent authorities of the Czech Republic and the Republic of Poland may, after
mutual agreement and with the consent of the authorities of their States in the cases

Article 8
The way of synergies in the implementation of the provisions of articles 5 and 6 can provide
the competent authorities of the Contracting Parties on the basis of mutual agreement.

The Contracting Parties shall inform the diplomatic channel, which

The provisions in annexes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of this agreement may be amended by
