Having regard to the text of the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, signed in Bogota, on 24 January 2007.

AGREEMENT ON CULTURAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF COLOMBIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC AND POPULAR ALGERIAN REPUBLIC
Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Government of the Republic of Colombia
The Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Government of the Republic of Colombia, hereinafter the parties, desiring to develop the relations of cooperation in the cultural field between the two countries and to strengthen the ties of friendship between the Algerian and Colombian peoples;
They came as follows:
The contracting parties are committed to developing their cultural cooperation on the basis of mutual respect for the sovereignty of each of the two countries.
To this end, the parties will report on their experiences and achievements in the field of culture and the arts through the exchange of cultural delegations.
The contracting parties shall have the appropriate means for the organisation of cinematographic works, exhibitions and literary and artistic tertulias.
The contracting parties will facilitate cooperation in the field of translation of literary works of the great men of letters in the two countries, and promote the exchange of publications on the history and civilization of both countries. countries.
The two sides will invite each other to the international book fairs organized by each of the two countries.
Each contracting party shall ensure the safeguarding and protection of copyright in the use of laws and regulations in force in both countries.
Each contracting party shall make available to the other, learning grants and the improvement of studies in the fields identified by common agreement, joint research, language assistance, internships or stays professional.
The contracting parties will study all the possibilities of equivalence of the diplomas and certificates of study issued by the teaching establishments of both countries, on the basis of a specific agreement on the subject.
two sides will strengthen cooperation, exchanges of information and publications in the fields of anthropology and the archaeological-lodge.
two sides will promote cooperation in the field of historical and cultural heritage through the exchange of experiences and visits between museums and specialized institutions of both countries.
Each side will participate in the international cultural festivals organized by the other country.
Any divergence from the interpretation of this agreement will be settled by diplomatic means.
This agreement will be submitted for ratification in accordance with the procedures in force in both countries. It shall enter into force on the date of exchange of the instruments of ratification.
This agreement is valid for a period of three years renewed by tacit renewal for an equal period, unless one of the parties notifies the other by diplomatic means, its intention to denounce this agreement, 3 months before the date of the date of expiry.
Subscribed in Bogotá, on January 24, 2007 in three original copies, in Arabic, Spanish and French. The three texts being equally authentic, the texts in Spanish and Arabic prevailing in the case of divergence.

Article 2o. In accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of Law 7a of 1944, the " Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of the Republic of Algeria Popular ", signed in Bogota, on 24 January 2007, which is approved by the first article of this law, will force the country from the date on which the international link with respect to it is perfected.
Article 3o. This law applies from the date of its publication.
