By which the National System of Identification and Information Cattle is created. Summary
Term Notes Effective Jurisprudence
THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA DECREES:
ARTICLE 1o. Create the National Identification System and Information Beef cattle as a program through which information will be available from a bovine and its products, from the birth of this, as the beginning of the food chain to the end consumer.

. The National System of Identification and Information Beef cattle will be based on universal, compulsory, gradualism and traceability.
Universality is understood creation and existence of a single system applicable in the country.
Obligation is defined as the establishment and operation of the system, by the authorities or bodies who are entrusted with its implementation, control and development, who can enforce and impose the penalties provided through the relevant enforcement mechanisms.
Gradualness is understood by the implementation and development of the system in stages.
Traceability is defined as the ability to identify the origin of a bovine or its products, at any time of the production sequence as necessary, in accordance with the purpose for which it has been developed.
ARTICLE 3. The National System of Identification and Information Cattle will be in charge of the National Government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, who in turn may contract administration with the Colombian Federation of Cattle Ranchers, Fedegan, which will be responsible for implementing and implementation of the system.
For purposes of the above, Fedegan can rely on farmers' organizations or other organizations legally constituted sector and delegate to them the functions that are specific, as an entity system. Effective Notes
