having regard to the text of the "Agreement on mutual recognition of certificates, diplomas and degrees in higher education between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of the Republic of Peru", signed in Lima the twenty-six (26) April in 1994 (1994), which reads:

AGREEMENT ON MUTUAL RECOGNITION OF CERTIFICATES, TITLES AND DEGREES OF HIGHER EDUCATION BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC
OF COLOMBIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF PERU.
The Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of the Republic of Peru, hereinafter the parties, motivated by the desire to develop relations between the peoples of both countries and cooperate extensively in the areas of education, culture and science, AGREE
:
ARTICLE 1o. The parties recognize and validate awarded diplomas and degrees in higher education conferred by universities and institutions of higher education officially recognized by the education systems of both States, through the respective Ministries of Education.
Article 2.
. For the purposes of this agreement shall mean the official recognition granted recognition in each Contracting State to studies in higher education institutions of the educational system of the other State-accredited diplomas or degrees.

ARTICLE 3. The parties will provide through the competent authorities of each country, the granting of the right to practice the profession who possess a recognized degree accredited in accordance with the internal legal standards for each profession.

ARTICLE 4. Partial studies of any level of higher education made in one of the signatory countries will be recognized in the other, in order to continue with them, on the basis of the subjects approved in a higher education program recognized officially in the education systems in each country.

The 5th ITEM. To comply with the provisions of this agreement, the parties should inform each other about any kind of change in their educational systems especially on granting academic degrees and degrees in higher education.
PARÁGRAFO. In the event that the parties consider necessary, they may form a bilateral technical commission which is intended to provide a table of equivalences and accreditations, which will meet as often as deemed necessary to achieve the intended objective.
The Committee shall meet within ninety (90) days following the date for the exchange of instruments of ratification days.

ARTICLE 6o. In the event of change in the laws that regulate higher education systems, both in the Republic of Colombia and the Republic of Peru in connection with titles or academic degrees recognized by each State higher education must be informed about the diplomatic channels.

ARTICLE 7. The Parties shall take appropriate measures in their educational systems, in order to ensure compliance with this agreement by all higher education institutions of the respective countries.

Article 8. The Colombian side will be represented by the Colombian Institute for the Promotion of Higher Education, ICFES and the Peruvian side by the Ministry of Education.

Article 9. This agreement shall be submitted for approval to establish the domestic legal system of each country and shall enter into force on the date of the corresponding exchange of instruments of ratification.

ARTICLE 10. Disputes arising from the application of this agreement shall be settled by mutual agreement of the parties.

ARTICLE 11. This agreement shall be valid for five years and shall be automatically extended for periods of equal time.
It may be denounced by the parties, by written notice through diplomatic channels, in which case the denunciation shall take effect one year after notification of the respective notification.

ARTICLE 1o. To approve the "Agreement on mutual recognition certificates, diplomas and degrees in higher education between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of the Republic of Peru", signed in Lima, the twenty-six (26) April 1990 and four (1994).
Article 2.
. In accordance with the provisions of article 1. 7a Act. 1944, the "Agreement on mutual recognition certificates, diplomas and degrees in higher education between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of the Republic of Peru", signed in Lima, the twenty-six (26) April thousand hundred ninety-four (1994), that the first article of this law is passed, it will force the country from the date the international link is perfect therefrom.

ARTICLE 3. This law applies from the date of publication.
