Having regard to the text of the "Convention of Tourism Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of Jamaica", signed in Santa Fe de Bogota, D. C., on the twentieth (20th) of April of a thousand nine hundred and ninety-four (1994), which to the letter says:

" TOURISM COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF COLOMBIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF JAMAICA

The Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of Jamaica, with the desire to cement the friendly relations between the two countries in the field of tourism cooperation and recognizing the mutual benefit that it offers for its economic and social development, have agreed as follows:

ARTICLE 1o. The Parties shall promote and implement tourism cooperation programmes in accordance with the objectives and priorities of their economic and social development in their countries and the availability of resources. economic, technical and financial within the limit to which internal legislation marks them.

ARTICLE 2o. As set out in the previous article, the Parties shall encourage and facilitate the development of cooperation programmes and projects, which shall be carried out among others, in the following ways:

1. Technology transfer and provision of technical services.

2. Exchange of information and documentation.

3. Exchange of experts and scientists.

4. Mutual supply of training facilities at various levels.

ARTICLE 3o. When the parties consider it necessary for the execution or development of a specific project, they may request and use, by mutual agreement, the cooperation of an international body.

ARTICLE 4o.

(a) The Parties shall formulate joint programmes on specific projects within the framework of this Convention, through the Joint Committee;

(b) The specific modalities for each project, including financial obligations, shall be prepared by means of supplementary agreements to this Convention.

ARTICLE 5o. Each Party shall grant to experts and scientists on the other hand, to participate in cooperation projects, the privileges and immunities necessary for the performance of its functions, in accordance with the with .. internal legislation in force.

ARTICLE 6o. Unless otherwise agreed, the tourist information deriving from the cooperation activities that are conducted under this Convention shall be considered by the Parties as such. confidential and may not be disclosed to Third Parties without mutual consent.

ARTICLE 7o. For the implementation of this instrument, the Parties shall constitute a Joint Commission coordinated by the respective official tourism agencies, which shall be intended to:

1. Monitor compliance with this Convention and its Programs.

2. Identify and evaluate priority sectors for the implementation of specific cooperation projects.

3. Propose cooperation programmes.

4. Evaluate the results of the execution of specific projects.

The Joint Committee shall meet at mutually agreed intervals in order to meet the intended objectives, at the place and date of the Joint Committee. Consultations on any of the above issues may, however, be carried out whenever it is deemed necessary, apart from the meetings of the Joint Committee, as agreed by the Parties,

ARTICLE 8. This Convention shall be submitted for approval to the constitutional procedures established in each country and shall enter into force with the respective notifications in which the compliance with internal legal procedures.

Its duration shall be five (5) years automatically extendable for periods of one (1) year, unless one of the Contracting Parties, notifies the Other in writing with six (6) months in advance of the expiration date of the period corresponding, your intention to terminate it.

This notification shall not affect the development of the programmes in accordance with Article IV unless the Parties decide otherwise.

Made in the city of Santa Fe de Bogota, D. C., at twenty (20) days of April 1994, in two copies, in the Spanish and English languages, both texts being equally authentic.

ARTICLE 1o. Approve the "Agreement of Tourism Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of Jamaica", signed in Santa Fe de Bogota, D. C., the twenty (20) of April of a thousand nine hundred and ninety-five four (1994).

ARTICLE 2o. In accordance with the provisions of Article 1o. of Law 7a. In 1944, the "Convention of Tourism Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Government of Jamaica", signed in the city of Santa Fe de Bogota, D. C., on (20) April of a thousand nine hundred and ninety-four (1994), which was 1o. of this law shall be adopted, shall bind the country from the date on which the international link with respect to the law is perfected.

ARTICLE 3o. This law governs from the date of its publication.
