THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA DECREES: TITLE I.

THE EXERCISE OF THE PROFESSION technologist
electricity, electrical, electronics and related
ARTICLE 1o. Technologist electricity, electrical engineering, electronics or related is the graduate professional of a duly recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education and offered by a college, university or technical school, who is qualified to install, operate technology education program and maintain facilities and services related to their respective area teams.
PARAGRAFO. The technology according to Law 30 of December 28, 1992, in its 7th and article 14 paragraph b), 18 and 25 is considered a profession.
Article 2.
. For the purposes of this law, it is considered as branches or professions related technology in electricity, electrical engineering, electronics:
a) technology in electricity and telephone;
B) Technology in electrification and rural telephony;
C) in industrial instrumentation technology.
PARAGRAFO. The National Council for Technology in Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied, may extend coverage to new technological professions related to this branch, whose programs are approved by the Ministry of Education and regulated by the CESU.

ARTICLE 3o. It is permissible to the free exercise of the profession Technologist Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied in the country and in all countries that sign treaties with Colombia, in the same conditions and within the terms of these.
ARTICLE 4.
. They may only exercise the profession Technologist Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied Workers who obtain the professional license to be issued by the National Council of Technologists.

The 5th ARTICLE. As for requirements for the exercise of the profession, the rights will be respected legally acquired prior to the effective date of this law.
ARTICLE 6.
. Will not be valid for the exercise of the profession Technologist Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied diplomas obtained in institutions that procedures other than those stipulated in article 1 of this law.
TITLE II.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TECNOLOGO practice as

Article 7. They may only practice the profession of Technologists mentioned in article 1 of this law and those who meet the following requirements:
a) Have graduated at a university, college, technical school and technological institution approved by the State in accordance with the laws and regulations;
B) Sign the title in the register of the National Council of Technologists Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied;
C) Obtain professional registration through the National Council of Technologists Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied;
D) not be disqualified for derivative sanction the exercise of the profession.
TITLE III.

Professional performance ARTICLE 8.
. Technologist professional tuition in Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied gives the full right to practice.

Article 9. Technologists in Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied licensed in accordance with this Act, may register as such and contract with state or mixed economy entities, works elated with their profession.

ARTICLE 10. From the effective date of this law, the Nation, departments and municipalities and decentralized entities to approve their respective administrative structures, will determine the charges that need to be exercised by technologists specifying specialties.
PARAGRAFO. The Colombian Association of Technologists, through Sectionals Associations, develop mechanisms for monitoring and surveillance are complied with this article.

Article 11. TITLE IV. NATIONAL COUNCIL OF PROFESSIONAL

ARTICLE 13. The National Professional Council shall be composed as follows:
a) One (1) representative of the Ministry of Education; Effective Notes


B) One (1) representative of universities and technological universities or technological institutes and private schools;
C) One (1) representative of Aciem (Association of Electronics Engineers, Electrical and Allied);
D) Two (2) representatives of the Associations of Technologists this area.
PARAGRAFO. The representative of the university, college, technical school or technical institute official or private, must be a graduate of an institution containing programs in which technology covered by this law. Effective Notes


ARTICLE 14. The National Council of Technologists Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied Workers shall have the following functions:
a) To ensure compliance with this law and subsequent regulations;
B) keep the National Registry Technologists professional registration;
C) issuing temporary permits for the exercise of the profession to which this law refers to foreign staff for some reason required to develop work in our country;
D) Promote the issuance of rules on ethics of professions referred to in this law, within ninety (90) days after the law enacted;
E) To promote and sponsor conferences and seminars in order to raise the scientific level;
F) Provide professional fees technologists in this Law;

ARTICLE 15. Sectionals Technologists Tips Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied will be composed as follows:
a) For the governor of the department or his representative, who shall preside;
B) A rector of the university, college or technical school and official or private institution;
C) Three (3) representatives of the Associations of Technologists Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied. Effective Notes


ARTICLE 16. The Sectional Councils Technologists in Electricity, Electromechanics, Electronics and Allied have the same functions of the National Council.
PARAGRAFO. For the Sectional Councils may issue the respective registration, require confirmation of the National Professional Council. Effective Notes

TITLE V. SANCTIONS



ARTICLE 17. In addition to the civil and criminal that may apply to violators of the provisions contemplated herein shall apply the prescribed penalties in its implementing regulations.
TITLE VI. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

Article 18.
