For which the memory of the soldier Candide Leguizamo hero of the battle of El Encanto is honored.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. Exalt the memory of soldier Candido Leguizamo, hero of the conflict with Peru, who died on April 12, 1933, whose courageous action in assuming command of the troops of his unit after the death of their commander, and take them to victory in the Battle of El Encanto after having been mortally wounded, is an example of a worthy value to be divulged.

ARTICLE 2o. The Army Command will baptize a Military Unit with the name of the hero, Cabo Segundo Candido Leguizamo, which will take place in a special ceremony during which the present law will be read.

The Army Command will also have an invitation to the ceremony to the organizations of the military in activity or in retirement that will function with the name of Cabo Candido Leguizamo and that in this way contribute to the exaltation of his name and their example.

ARTICLE 3o. Expask note of this law in note of style to the hero's family.
