For which the life and work of three great Afro-Colombian poets are exalted and other provisions are dictated.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. The Republic of Colombia pays tribute of admiration and exalts the life and work of the great and distinguished poets, Afro-Colombian Jorge Artel, Miguel A. Caicedo and Helcias Martan Gongora, for their contribution to Colombian literature, highlights his poetic works and puts as examples present and future generations, their lives of great servers and bastions of Afro-Colombian communities.

ARTICLE 2o. As a tribute to the memory and the work of Jorge Artel, the Nation will build a monument to his memory in the Municipality of Cartagena.

ARTICLE 3o. As a perennial homage to the memory and the works of Jorge Artel, the Nation will build in the Municipality of Tado and Quibdo, statues of the great poet, which will be entrusted to two sculptors The Colombian Institute of Culture will open its doors to the Colombian Institute of Culture, or who will do its own times, for this purpose.

ARTICLE 4. As a tribute to the memory and the work of Helcias Martan Gongora, the Nation will build a statue of the great poet in the Municipality of Guapi.

ARTICLE 5o. The National Government will edit the complete works of the great and distinguished Afro-Colombian poets Jorge Artel, Miguel A. Caicedo and Helcias Martan Gongora, in a throw of not less than ten thousand copies.

ARTICLE 6o. As a perennial homage to the colonization of the Pacific, carried out by the Afro-Colombian communities, the Nation will build in the Municipality of Buenaventura, the monument to it.

ARTICLE 7o. The Government shall appropriate the items necessary for the performance of the works referred to in this Law.

ARTICLE 8o. This Act governs from the date of its enactment.
