By means of which the Nation is associated with the commemoration of the fifty (50) years of the foundation of the University of the Atlantic, its work in the training of the professionals is exalta, it is ordered the realization of works of infrastructure and the provision of resources for scientific and social research and other provisions are dictated.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. The Nation recognizes and exalts the academic work that the University of the Atlantic has been developing since 1946, in terms of the training of professionals with scientific criteria and social.

PARAGRAFO. For this purpose, the National Government through the Ministry of National Education will set by decree such recognition, while it will award its maximum distinction to the University of the Atlantic for its services provided to the Coast Atlantic and the country.

ARTICLE 2o. The Nation will associate with the gold weddings of the University of the Atlantic with such a contribution to its scientific and cultural development, for which the budget contributions of the case will be made in concerning the performance of the following works:

-Central library endowment and systematization.

-Equipment of the laboratories of the different faculties of Engineering, Chemistry and Pharmacy, Dietetics and Nutrition and Basic Sciences.

-Building a site for the post-degree section.

-Construction and endowment of a university polideportive.

-Locative improvement of the seat of the race 43 No. 50-53.

ARTICLE 3o. The Nation, through the Ministry of Finance, will make to the University of the Atlantic from this law, the average budget allocation per student that makes the universities Public of the country. In no case will it be less.

PARAGRAFO. For the provisions of this article, the statistics provided for this purpose by the Colombian Institute for the Promotion of Education, ICFES, will be used.

ARTICLE 4. This Law governs from the date of its issue.
