By which the creation of the Arauca Sectional of the National University of Colombia is ordered.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. The Ministry of National Education, prior to the fulfilment of the requirements established by Law 30 of 1992 for the establishment of Sectionals of the Institutions of Higher Education, authorize the creation of the Arauca Sectional of the National University of Colombia.

ARTICLE 2o. The Arauca Sectional of the National University of Colombia, will develop programs of higher education and academic and research activities, counting for this with the faculties that consult the the needs of the region as such and as a border area, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter V, Educational Aspects, of Law 191 of 1995 that dictates provisions on border areas.

ARTICLE 3o. Authorize the National Government to carry out the necessary budgetary operations for the implementation and enforcement of this Law.

ARTICLE 4. This Law governs from the date of its enactment.
