For which a commission is integrated to review, compile, agree on environmental legislation and other provisions are dictated.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA,

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. Create a Commission of Experts and Jurists from which a Representative of the Indigenous Movement, a Representative of the Negriudes, a Representative of the Raizal Communities, will be a member, the Director de Minas del Ministerio de Minas y Energía y un Representative de las organizaciones nambientales ngos ngos. Also part of it will be a Senator of the Republic and a Representative to the House elected by the Constitutional Quintas Commissions of the respective corporations. The Commission will be responsible for reviewing, compiling and agreeing on environmental legislation and in particular the police, criminal and administrative aspects of sanctions; that is, the National Code of Renewable Natural Resources and the Protection of the Environment, the Mining Code and the National Health Code and submit to the Congress of the Republic Senate bills, which are intended to modify, update and reform, within the following 18 months from the date of integration of the abovementioned Commission. The Ministry of the Environment will assume the duties of the Secretariat of the Commission.

ARTICLE 2o. This Law governs from the date of its sanction.
