For which the Nation is associated with the celebration of the 250 years of the foundation and the 160 years of having been erected in Villa the Municipality of Sabanalarga, Department of the Atlantic and other provisions are dictated.

THE CONGRESS OF COLOMBIA.

DECRETA:

ARTICLE 1o. The Nation is associated with the commemorative acts and celebration of the 250 years of foundation and the 160 years of being erected in Villa the Municipality of Sabanalarga, in the Department of the Atlantic, The facts of the case were taken on 26 January 1744 and 7 June 1833 respectively.

ARTICLE 2o. On the dates of such significant events, the Nation pays a sincere tribute to the entire community of Sabanalarga and exhausted the memory of those with a futuristic vision and patriotic mood, contributed to the foundation and development of which today is regarded as the second city of the Department of the Atlantic.

ARTICLE 3o. As of the sanction of this Law and in accordance with Articles 334 and 341, The final point of the Constitution, it is the responsibility of the National Government to assign within the General Budget of Investment, fiscal year 1995, destined to the agencies attached to the ministries related to the works, the sum necessary to execute the following projects of social interest in the Municipality of Sabanalarga, Atlantic department, as follows:

A. Optimization of aqueduct and sewerage systems in the municipality of Sabanalarga.

B. Program for the repair of schools in the municipality of Sabanalarga.

C. Remodeling and expansion of the Sabanalarga Polideportivo.

D. Redevelopment of the Main Square of Sabanalarga.

ARTICLE 4. Authorize the National Government to carry out the necessary budgetary operations and to conclude the agreements and contracts required to comply with this Law.

ARTICLE 5o. This law governs from the date of publication.
