Excellence of older persons in the broader province

(Adopted at the twelfth 16th ordinary session of the People's Government of Chiang Mai, on 4 December 2013, by Decree No. 198 of 16 January 2005 of the People's Government Order No. 198 of 16 January 2014, which came into force on 1 March 2014.

In order to guarantee the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly, the Chinese people are honoured, garnered and helped, and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China Act on the Protection of the Rights of Older Persons, the Regulations on the Protection of the Rights of Older Persons in the Province of Hiroshima.

Article 2 refers to the elderly as citizens above 60 years of age.

Article 3 upholds the principle of government ownership and social participation in the light of the practical needs of older persons.

The Government of the people at the district level and its relevant departments should strengthen the advancement of older persons and ensure that the level of social security, social welfare and social services enjoyed by older persons is adapted to the level of local economic development.

Communities should lead older volunteers to engage in their own knowledge, skills and experience, in the context of their own knowledge, skills and experience, in order to facilitate the integration of older persons and to achieve the old age of the community.

Article 8. Medical institutions should facilitate the provision of health care for the elderly and gradually establish priority services such as specialized access. The grass-roots health institutions should establish a health file for the elderly over 65 years of age and provide free of charge for a health management service that includes lifestyle and health assessment, medical examinations, support inspections and health guidance every year.

Article 11. The Government of the people at all levels should include the elderly in special hardship groups; care subsidies should be granted to the elderly who are living in the current administration, who are unable to self-sustain and economically difficult.
