ADDS PROVISIONS IN THE PENAL CODE REGARDING CRIMES AGAINST RESPECT FOR AND PROTECTION OF THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC LIFE OF THE PERSON AND HIS FAMILY Having present that the National Congress has given its approval to the following P r o y c t o d e L e y: Single article.-Add in the Criminal Code, Title III of the Second Book, the following paragraph 5: " & 5. Of crimes against respect and protection to the private and public life of the person and his family. Article 161-A.-The penalty of minor seclusion in any of its degrees and fine of 50 to 500 Monthly Tax Units to which, in particular enclosures or places that are not of free access to the public, without authorization of the affected and by any means, capture, intercept, record or reproduce conversations or communications of a private nature; subtract, photograph, photocopy or reproduce documents or instruments of a private nature; or capture, record, film or photograph images or private events occurring, performing, occurring or in existence in enclosures or places which are not free of access to the public. The same penalty applies to those who disseminate the conversations, communications, documents, instruments, images and facts referred to in the previous paragraph. If the person who has obtained and disclosed them is the same person, the maximum degree and fine of 100 to 500 Monthly Tax Units shall apply to this sentence. This provision is not applicable to persons who, by virtue of law or judicial authorization, are or are authorized to execute the actions described.
