AMEND LAW NO. 18,962, CONSTITUTIONAL ORGANIC OF |! | TEACHING INCORPORATING EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS |! | SUPERIOR AND RECOGNIZED BY THE STATE Having present that the H. National Congress has given |! |its approval to the following P r o y c t o d e L e and: Article 1.-Introduces the following amendments to Title III of Law No. 18,962, Constitutional Organic Teaching: (a) Substitute Article 29 (d), as follows: ' (d) National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies; Academies of War and Polytechnics; Arms and Specialties Schools of the Armed Forces; Aeronautical Technical School of the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics; Academy of Police Sciences of the Carabinieri of Chile; Matrixes Schools of Officers of the Armed Forces; School of Carabinieri and School of Sub-Officers of the Carabinieri of Chile, and School of Investigation Police and Higher Institute of the Police of Investigation of Chile. '' b) Replace the heading of the 6th paragraph, by the following: "From the official recognition of the degrees and degrees awarded by the higher education establishments of the Forces under the Ministry of National Defense." Article 71, for the following: " Article 71.-The higher education establishments of the Armed Forces, the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics, Carabineros, and the Chilean Police of Investigations develop teaching activities, higher level research and extension, the main objective of which is to professionals and technicians with the necessary knowledge to carry out the functions entrusted to them by Article 90 of the Political Constitution. The National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies develops teaching, research and extension activities aimed at increasing the knowledge in defense and security matters of the personnel of the Armed Forces, of the Order and Public Security, the State Administration and the private sector. ''. (d) Replace Article 72, as follows: '' Article 72.-The Armed Forces ' War Academies, the Military, Naval and Aeronautical Academies, the Technical School of the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics, the Academy of Sciences Police from Carabineros de Chile and the Instituto Superior de la Policía de Investigaciones de Chile will be able to award, in addition to professional titles, all kinds of academic degrees. In particular, they will be able to grant degrees of licentiate, magister and doctor in the areas inherent in their respective professional tasks. The National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies may also grant all kinds of academic degrees. In addition, the Military School, the Naval School, the School of Aviation, the School of Carabinieri and the School of Police Investigations, in the case of higher education, will be able to award their own professional qualifications. its military or police function, as the case may be, in accordance with the nature of the teaching provided and in the field of its competence. These professional titles and academic degrees will be equivalent, for all legal effects, to those of similar characteristics that are awarded by other institutions of education recognized by the State, such as universities and institutes. (e) Intercalanse in the first paragraph of Article 73, between the word '' Escuela '' and the expression '' of Carabineros '', the "Subofficial" locutions. Article 2.-The references that the legislation and regulations in force make to the Higher Institute of Police Sciences of Carabineros of Chile will be understood to be made to the Academy of Police Sciences of the Carabineros of Chile.
