"Sole article.-empower municipalities, only once, to write off 50% of debts by municipal rights accrued to December 31, 2000, including penalties and interest accrued at the same date."
In exercise of this power, municipalities may authorize that 50% of the monies not covered by the remission is paid in monthly dues that they determined, which will not generate interest. However, the debtor which optare counted such amounts payable shall be entitled to an additional discount of 20% of the part of the not forgiven debt.
However, municipalities, because of the socio-economic conditions of the debtor and only with respect to the debts by rights of toilet, may waive up to 100% of the debt, whenever you try to debtors who are in any of the following conditions: a) unemployed persons registered in the register of unemployed of the municipality corresponding to the place of residence.
(b) older than 65 years, beneficiaries of the public health sector, classified in categories A, B, C and D of the national health fund.
(c) beneficiaries of the public health sector classified in categories A and B of the national health fund.
(d) beneficiaries of social housing, such as those defined in article 7.1.2 of Supreme Decree No. 47, of the Ministry of housing and urban development, of the year 1992, General town planning and constructions Ordinance.
The Faculty referred to in the preceding subparagraphs shall be exercised within the 180 days following the date of publication of this Act. "."
